How to unlock the The Boy Who Could Run achievement in Dying Light - Definitive Guide
The night solution includes many videos and etcetera that should help but basically clearing the areas at night will take clearing them during the day so that you know where to go. On your first couple tries, you will likely fail but you will see where you need to go. Please note, some locations actually do not penalized you as hard for taking that extra second or two to make sure that jump you're about to take is correct. I found the best way to do this is to get your agility high enough to have the two speed boosts and etcetera. Do the Old Town ones first, they are easier in my opinion and will get you more into the free running mechanics of the game. The Slums will typically be more windy and make you do sudden turns so you will have to pay attention to your map at all times (hence the benefit of replaying the challenges). This achievement is more manageable than the ratio indicates. Just save it for later in the game and it will be so so much easier.
As far as what agility skills are best to get, my suggestions are:
dodge, slide, vault, free running adept, light drop, free running expert, tic tac. You can add in the reversals and forward roll for added insurance. Tic Tac will be the highest level requirement (13) so feel free to add in health regens and etcetera.
Please refer to "GD Parkour Instructor" for more information.
Go to your Map and look for an icon of a foot with 3 stars under it, these are the Parkour Challenges you are looking to complete for the trophy. You need to complete 5 challenges in the Slums and 5 challenges in Old Town for a total of 10 challenges to earn this trophy. It does not matter if you complete them in the day or night for this trophy, just complete them. If you're not sure which ones you have completed, then you can go to the pause menu and look at the leaderboards for Parkour Fever and cycle though the list to see if you have a posted time.
The 5 in the Slums are:
- Favela Fever
- First Assignment
- End Of The Tunnel
- Tiptoeing To Gazi
- Twister
The 5 in Old Town are:
- Blue District Fever
- Diagonal Run
- Not So Obvious
- On The Edge
- Tower Run
Here is a video guide to completing each one:
