How to unlock the The Legend of Harran achievement in Dying Light - Definitive Guide

Update 3/12/2015
This duplication glitch has been patched out. If you still want to do it or make the game super easy then delete everything and take your console offline. Install game (offline) and play for a couple hours so you have at least one of each item you want to dupe. Dupe everything you want and once your done, save and exit and reconnect your console online. You will then download the patch and you will still have all your items but you will not be able to dupe after that so make sure you make about 250 of each item you want. Still super easy but your going to have to do it at the start of a new game because saves are not interchangeable with different builds (patches).

I was messing around online and found this glitch. The glitch is for basically unlimited everything except weapons and ammo from my experience. This glitch kind of ruins the game if you do it early because you'll be so powerful.

Now if you had 100 lockpicks, you'll have 100 of whatever item you picked (and the lockpicks of course). You don't have to use lockpicks, you can use whatever item you have the most of (lockpicks are just cheap to build).

To level up, pick up an air drop and use the method above. Go to quartermaster and turn in. If you want money, then dupe something of high value and sell.

Crezzy posted the same solution a few days after me but with a video which may help some of you.

Or if you duplicate the lock picks and get 999 of them, put them in the stash, do the glitch, then you'll have 999 of the packages

You should take this down or re edit this. There's a duplication method that works with the current version.

It's rather unlikely that you won't get this through just playing the game. If you're having trouble, or just want to speed the process up, saving survivors gives you some points, doing quests gives you some, but the fastest way is to play at night. Get a four star pursuit on you, run up to a high building (preferably in the second area, as it's much taller), and make sure you have a strong weapon. Climb up to a point where the volatiles can no longer reach you (yes eventually they can't get to you, you'll know when this occurs when it's just the fast zombies), put yourself in a corner and just sit and wait. Throw flares/firecrackers when needed, the zombies will just keep coming. Just keep killing, doing this method gave me 50k survival points in one night!

This is a method me and a buddy were doing to power through our levels.

Keep sleeping to night and go after supply drops. Night is better for EXP since there are none of Rais' men to steal the drops. Just be wary of Volatiles.

Simply run the the drop, collect them both, and then run back to the tower. Sleep until night and repeat.

You also will get EXP for 'Night Survived'

Good luck and enjoy!

There is a fairly easy way to obtain this that you can do from super early on. For this tactic, you are going to head to a quarantine zone called the "Stuffed Turtle" and essentially farm it for quick drops for the quartermaster. If you don't have the grappling hook, all you will need to do is just parkour across some of the store shelves to get to the power switch and turn it off but if you do have it, you can just grapple to the other side of the store to turn it off instead. While you don't need to grab all 5, it's still recommended. After grabbing as many as you want, exit your save and quickly go to advanced settings and put it on Nightmare, this will increase the amount of XP you get from turning the drops in to the Quartermaster.

Reaching Survivor lvl 18 will be much harder than the other level specific trophies. Not only is it harder and longer but unlike Agility and Power XP, you can lose Survivor XP every time that you die. You cannot de-rank, however. This can be quite annoying as dying does take a decent amount of your XP. However, you earn Survivor XP from: completing quests, completing random events, turning in relief packages, and finding collectibles. Earning XP during the night also doubles, as well as evading pursuits. You will reach Survivor rank 18 just before you've completed every side quest, no matter how much you die.
