haven't had a chance to unlock it legit because the damn game keeps screwing me over. I carry the whole group to the end and some lucky @$$ gets to keep his shot gun and I get stuck with fists. any idea what I need to do?

Anyone have any tips for killing the 2 Demolishers? In Solo I can kill the Demolisher with about 7 propane tanks easily. Whenever I do Coop we spend the whole time laying into one and they just wont die even with broken armor.

Another note: if a person leaves the game in the middle of the stand off at the end, you do not get the achievement. I think the player must kill all the players.

after many failed attempts, the two other guys in my group finally got it. i was hosting the game, and instead of the person going for the achievement picking up the gun at the end, i picked it up. this was the only way the achievement unlocked.
so make sure the host picks up the gun.

So I, like other here, had this achievement not pop for me after fulfilling the requirements three times in a row. I tried following the tips in the comments by Mortug and Valnor, but still no achievement. I finally got the achievement on my 4th try with one co-op partner who downed himself before I finished off the volatiles and demolisher. Because he was already down, there was no deathmatch at the end and the achievement popped.

I have downed the other guy before wave 20 I uninstalled and reinstalled I have won 3 times I’ve hosted and he has hosted idk what else to do... I am starting to assume that you can’t get it with the same co op partner and you have to do it with someone new but idfk

One more tip what worked for me. Shoot you friend after he is down, cause I think he is down but not dead and you actually need to kill him.

^Yeah, after the achievement didn't unlock for WeemaN on our first try, I found this guide on Steam (as Steam has the same issue with regards to this achievement not unlocking when it should):

The guide creator Blade Master has some tips that should help people unlock the achievement. We didn't bother with the Legend respec, but I think shooting the person while they are down is important.

The other solutions say this is glitched. My group didn't have any problems unlocking it. We did make sure though that only non-hosts attempted this.
Right after killing the enemies in trial 20, all but 1 person committed suicide. We didn't even go to the box with the weapon. Nobody shot anyone.

I just got this today first attempt, I was host went down once very early on no full deaths when it came to the 1v1 at the end my partner said to just punch him so I hit him with my fist knocked him and hit him again while he was down and the achieveo instantly popped. Didn’t have to see a cut scene open the box or grab a gun or take any damage myself. Maybe I got lucky? But just thought I’d put this out there considering how everyone’s saying you gotta do very very specific things when it doesn’t seem that way.

Anyone who is having trouble getting this achievement use your fists at the end when you have to kill each other. Me and my buddy were having no luck getting it to pop until I read Norda's comment about using their fists and we got it to pop first try. I don't know if it helps the achievement or not but we would also get each other to half health before the one going for the achievement would finish the other off.

After numerous attempts, I've determined that if your host's game difficulty is on Normal Game Plus, the demolishers at the end WILL have increased health. What we did to combat this was start a new game on just Normal, and run through the horde as normal. Demolishers died with no issues.

However, the achievement seems to have some sort of issue in getting it to pop. I've complete it and won the trial with 2 players (1v1 trial) multiple times, as well as 4 times in 4 players coop and it refuses to pop. We have tried switching hosts in and out as well as re-installing the dlc. No dice.

I made posts on Techland's forums looking to address these issues, and I have had no responses.

Some tips from recently popping this. Some of which is listed in the Steam guide.

- Watch this for some great time savers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_ptngOx6Y4
- One getting the achievement isn't the host
- Start normal game in nightmare mode then start Bozak Horde
- One getting the achievement opens the crate at the end and picks the gun up. Opposite of what Steam guide says. I think it doesn't matter too much.
- We did respec after killing the first demolisher and all the virals but not sure if this is really needed or not
- Don't skip the cut scene at the end
- One getting the achievement gets shot first (once is fine) then shoots the host and continues shooting while down until you get the notification about unlocking a new outfit
- Don't die in any trials. Getting downed and revived is fine
- Can't stess this enough; put as many legend points into unarmed. Virals will go down with one punch. Makes the first few trials, lift trial and last trial fly by.
- If enough points in unarmed, you'll only need one one-handed weapon throughout the mode to set off the gas canisters and fire extinguishers. Ignore all other weapon crates except the pistal and shotgun ones.
- When doing the package delivery trial, one player goes clockwise the other counter clockwise

Sorry to double post, but I think I have found a solution to get this to pop and I wanted to consolidate some info onto this page.

1) Whoever in the coop session is getting the achievement in that run, make sure they are NOT host.

2) Run through Bozak on Normal game, NOT Normal game+. This simply makes things easier, but does NOT void the achievement. It can be done in NG+ but it is significantly more difficult.

3) After completing trial 20 and starting the free-for-all round, have everyone gather in the middle.

4) The player whose turn it is for the achievement needs to take at least 1 point of damage from someone else. I recommend shooting them once. Then the player kills off everyone else.

I was able to replicate this 4 times in a row by following these steps exactly, with the most important thing being step #4.

Hopefully that might help everyone with this glitchy achievement, good luck!

So.... after being the host and letting my partner pick up the gun and having them shoot me in the foot and then i shot them in the foot and killed them as they were down but no out i shot them again to kill them and no achievement

I then hosted another game and I picked up the gun first and again we did the foot shoot and i killed them as they were down but not out

I got annoyed and when i returned to the dashboard I quit the game.
Next afternoon I was like "i'm gonna try again" as I booted up the game the achievement popped... I was like "fuck it I'm not even going to question it. I got it"

So this "host can't get it" bs is completely wrong as I got it and I was always the host.


MEANWHILE: I hosted another game; we lost one trial.
at the end they opened the crate, picked up the weapon
dont skip cutscene; then they shot me in the leg, i shot them in the leg, they shot me in the leg, I shot them in the leg and then they shot and killed me while I was down but not out and at the end it unlocked Perfectly for them LMAO

I have run/do run people through the challenge for the explosive arrows, and I will write what I have found that increases your chances of getting the achievement to pop. When I stop running people through, I will edit this solution to its final stage and hopefully have a solid working method for everyone.

You can get this achievement with at least one other person at the end of wave 20, grabbing the pistol from the chest, and then killing each other.

DISCLAIMER: This achievement IS glitched. Out of my runs these variables have been the most common in getting people the achievement to unlock for them. Expect a 40% chance of it popping on the first time. 70% a second time. Lastly 90% on the third try.

After you kill the last zombie enemy and are told to pick up the gun:
1. Whoever is getting the achievement does not pick up the gun.
2. Do not skip the little cinematic.
3. Everyone meets in a circle.
4. Everyone shoots each other in the foot.

While shooting each other, do NOT do headshots. Keep in mind: If someone has a super high legend level their gunshots will do more damage. Use your discretion. The goal is to take damage from everyone.

The light at the end of the tunnel. I know this achievement is a pain. I have ran someone through three times before it finally popped for him. But that is the most I have seen. Some have had it pop like it is supposed to. Good night and good luck.

One or more players required to get this achievement, since you will have to fight to the death.

It's pretty self explanatory, you must be the one who survives at the end of the final trial.

At the end of the 20th challenge you will be tasked to kill your co-op partner(s), be the last one alive to earn this trophy. You could potentially boost this if people will let you beat them and then take turns on who wins at the end.
