How to unlock the Master of Chaos achievement in DYNASTY WARRIORS 6 - Definitive Guide
Character: Yue Ying or Sun Shang Xiang, level 50. Reason: THE ALMIGHTY BOW AND ARROW.
Weapon: 85+ base attack power, should have ice element and flash at the very least.
Horse: farm for a horse with nearly maxed out stats, description should be "Considers the world/heavenly physique." Should preferably have renbu gait as an attribute, but good attributes aren't very necessary.
First off in any level you want to get your renbu to max. Easiest way is to ride around on the horse and plow through enemies by running in a circle and using y attack, that should get it maxed out the quickest. Then you use musou attacks, (MAKE SURE TO HOLD DOWN B TO USE THE FULL BAR) and it sure wipe out nearly all the enemies around you and cripple officers to near death, if it doesn't outright kill them.
For Hu Lao Gate Lu Bu(since most people struggle on this map), stay close to Lu Bu most of the time. At the beginning follow Lu Bu on the left side and just run around in a circle and use y attack. This also builds up your renbu. It takes time but the officers will gather around you and your eventually wipe most of them out, but stay on the horse. Use the full musou attack as soon as its full every time. If you get knocked off your horse, run to a clearing, turn, attack with x on a mob, then run again, attack, run until your musou is full. Then aim for an officer group and let loose a full musou. Remember to stick with Lu Bu for most of the time, you can leave for a little bit if there are no officers around him to deal with a rogue officer on the map, but don't leave if Lu Bu is heading into a mob of officers. Lu Bu and your other allies that are left will get wiped out fast.
For the last part where ALL the generals attack you at once, stick with Lu Bu and STAY ON YOUR HORSE! Run in circles and use repeating Y attacks and full Musou attacks. Eventually you will weed out all the generals. Then run back on the map and take out any straggling officers and you are done.
Good luck to everyone attempting this, and if you complete it, go celebrate, cause you earned it.
Just so I am sure I don't have to do anything again, there are no restrictions on how you complete the levels correct? Example: Using the commander so you don't have to babysit, using 2 people, using people not actually in the battle etc?

Playing on Chaos mode in DW6 is not so much a test of skill as it is a test of patience. The quickest, best advice I can give is to use a character that is powerful against enemy generals using a weapon with FLASH on it. Also, a horse with near or max stats with Musou Spirit on it is a huge plus. I will be writing a small companion guide to go along with this achivement guide that covers, among other things, how to get through chaos mode with minimum aggrivation.
If you are not a hardcore completionist, I recommend stopping at 950gs. In fact, if you are a hardcore completionist I would almost suggest skipping this game entirely. I really love DW, I really love playing it, but I know that if DW wasn't a kind of game I truly enjoyed I would not even attempt this achievement.
It is not a difficult achievement, it is a time consuming one. Allow me to break it down. There are 41 characters, who need a total of 2009 levels gained for this achievement. Let's assume, that doing the other 950 achievement points you got 4 characters to level 50 and 20 characters to level 20, which knocks 576 off the total needed. This leaves 1433 levels to gain. Let's assume you're using two controllers. Let's assume an average of two levels gained, per character, per scenario. Let's say you can complete a scenario (Loading screens, prep, fighting) every 5 minutes. 12 scenarios an hour, makes 48 levels an hour. Doing the math, this leaves you at just under 30 hours of grinding levels at absolute maximum efficiency. Doing 360 Castle He Fei speed runs in a row is not something one will likely be able to manage without severe psychological trauma.
Keep in mind this figure does not include time spent farming horses or weapons, which will take longer. Any of your characters you're playing who do NOT have good weapons or horses will invariably increase the time needed to complete this achievement. Also note that from what I've gathered getting 4 characters to 50 and 20 characters to 20 is a GENEROUS assumption during the process of getting to 950gs. I would assume that the other 950gs could be done with as little as one character at level 50 and 16 other characters at level 15 or so.
Please see the Experience, Weapons, Horses, and Chaos Mode FAQ for more information on getting this achievement done as quickly as possible.
