How to unlock the Loyal Ally achievement in DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS - Definitive Guide
Requests are given by characters on the world map at certain points, which most of the time will give you either a special skirmish/battle to do, or an item to find on the world map and collect. Upon doing what was requested, you then head back to the character to complete the Request and receive a small reward.
Requests are not to be confused with Trainings, which appear similar and also given by characters on the world map. Trainings are the ones that task you with doing specific things in battle (e.g. defeat 100 enemies with sword battle arts).
During my playthrough, I did each Request/Training as soon as I got them and had no trouble completing them all, with the exception of one Request from Yuanhua (more on that later). It's worth noting that some Requests/Trainings were given by characters who died in the story later. I presume you can miss a Request/Training, or fail to complete one in time if the requesting character dies, so I recommend you also just do each Request/Training as soon as you get them.
But, if you do miss any Trainings/Requests you don't have to worry: once you finish the story once (with any faction) you can replay the story from any chapter on the same save file, while keeping all your weapons, skills and etc (essentially this game's version of New Game+). You will definitely need to do some story replaying anyways since there are also some Requests/Trainings only given to you depending on which faction you joined in Chapter 3.
THE MISSING REQUEST: After doing all the 6 endings and each Request/Training along the way, I got all the Trainings done but was still stuck at 97% or something for the Requests achievement, and couldn't figure out what I missed. Well, it turns out there's a request from Yuanhua that's a bit well-hidden. To get it, you have to do the first step of the Wu true ending path by saving
in Chapter 3. Since saving this character is near-impossible on your first playthrough, you should definitely at least finish the story once and then later you can replay the story from this mission and alter that character's fate by saving them.
After saving this character, you can now replay from the start of Chapter 4 on the Wu true ending path (the right-most path). Before doing so, make sure that character,
is at bond lvl 3 with you if you haven't already (I believe their first three bonding interactions were all in Chapters 1-3). Once you're sure they are bond lvl 3, go ahead and start Chapter 4 (Sun) from the Wu true ending path. Complete the first two story battles, and then Yuanhua will appear on the world map with a Request to find medicine (hidden somewhere on the world map) to aid in that character's recovery!
TIP: You can see which Requests you currently have by pausing the game on the world map, and going to Objectives -> Requests. You can also see which ones you've already completed by going to Objectives -> Complete. The completed list shows all the completed requests first with a blue background, then all the trainings in gray.

- WARNING: the in-game completed list of Requests is NOT an exhaustive list! I believe only Yuanhua is the only one who won't show up on here, but for some reason any Request he gives you won't show up here, including the "hidden" one where you have to find the medicine, so be aware of that.

I have an issue where Sun Jian's request "Suppression of the Changsha Rebels" is completed but I can't turn it in after completing the game in all routes. Would doing the Yuanhua request in chapter 4 help?

@AO l Zero G l this Request was given in Chapter 2, correct? Try replaying from the beginning of Chapter 2 and checking if Sun Jian appeared on the world map each time you finish a story battle.
