How to unlock the Making Friends achievement in EA SPORTS Active 2 - Definitive Guide

For this achievement you have to go on the internet, and go to http://www.easportsactive.com/ ,sign into your EA account, then go to groups on left hand column. Either Create a group or join one and the next time you go on EA Sports Active 2 and are connected to the EA servers you will get the achievement

I don't know why these features ever get removed. Surely the resources to maintain this are minimal. Oh, well - no purchase from me.

EA just announced that their closing the servers for this game on April 13th this year. EA may close the servers a day or two earler than announced like they did with the 1st skate and the 1st army of two.

Is it possible to get this achievement without a Kinect sensor? Don't have one at the moment and would like to get before it becomes unobtainable.

I think you can do it with just the standard controller through the menus

I tried the controller menu option and it didn't work. Going online to do it is the best option.

I tried this on the console but it wasn't working. Like stated above go online and then sign up. If your still signed into Xbox live, dashboard out and then once you log in again and connect to EA Servers you will get this. Hurry it shuts down on 4/13/12.

Removed my solution and guide as the servers have long since been shut down. Hopefully you were able to join a group when it was available. That being said, we all knew this would be unobtainable at one point, just didn't know when.

Edit: please comment or rate if you join. I get emails with your gamertag in it that you've joined and I no for sure you checked this guide as you're on the recently won leaderboard. It's been a few

The easiest way to unlock this achievement is to create your own workout group. Go into Workout Groups and press  to Create/Join Workout Group -> Create Workout Group -> enter a workout group name and password and this achievement will unlock once you log into the group.

All you have to do is go to workout groups, create a group...and Voila!!! ...and you should have an active EA account... if you have played EA games online you probably have one :P
