If you use this method you can just focus on one player and fill the team with dummy players. Then you just have to keep the focussed player high on contracts.

Be extremely careful when attempting this. I used this method to boost 65 matches and started getting occasional error messages, now my matches on both Squad Battles and Rivals don't count at all anymore. Unless this somehow fixes itself I'm locked out of the lvl 40 and the Milestone 3 achievements. According to the FIFA 20 guide for the corresponding achievement a similar issue already existed back then, which in conjunction with the error messages starting to pop up when I boosted leads me to believe that there's a connection. Maybe I got blacklisted for playing too many games in a short period or whatever, I don't know.
It's not the OP's fault but I'll have to dislike this solution as it's potentially harmful until my situation gets resolved or I figure out what to do about it.
