Controlled Defending
Perform a Standing Tackle and keep possession of the ball 10 times

How to unlock the Controlled Defending achievement in EA SPORTS FIFA 15 - Definitive Guide
Just to clarify if anyone is having issues with this.
You need to perform a slide tackle AND get control of the ball with the same player.
You cannot do a slide tackle and have a team mate get the ball, you need to have the same player continue with the ball.
**EDIT - I added the below video to show you what they are looking for to get this achievement.

Once you won ball how long must you hold on to it?

I think once you get up and have the ball it counts.

This is one of those trophies that the vast, vast majority of FIFA players will get just by playing the game.
However, writing that as a solution seems to piss off certain members of the community, so for those guys, here's the quick and dirty method of getting this achievement:
First, you're going to need two controllers.
From the FIFA 15 "Main Menu", use the or buttons to highlight the "Play" tab.
Highlight the "Kickoff" tile (usually in the top left corner) of the "Play" tab. Press the button to enter the next menu. With the primary controller (the controller you want to get the trophy on) select one team. Select the opposite team with the second controller.
My suggestion is that you use one of the "elite" teams (Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, etc) for the primary controller, and pick a crappy 1/2 start team (like Englands, Football League Two, Accrington) for the secondary controller.
Keep progressing until you get to the final screen (it will have "Play Match" highlighted) - you can or over to the "Game Settings" and change the time and/or difficulty if you feel the need. I would suggest Amateur & 4 minute halves - but you might want to go longer if you're not confident in your ability. The Trophy is going to pop as soon as you get the 10 tackle/possession combo, so you can quit out if you don't want to finish the match.
Once the game starts get possession with your secondary controller (pass the ball with the primary controller if necessary), then switch to the primary controller, run up to player with possession, press the to perform a slide tackle, hopefully the majority of the time you will retain possession (however, it's an EA game, so bs will happen. When you do have possession, give back possession to the secondary controller, and repeat 10 times.
I imagine (because it's EA, after all) that every tackle/possession combo won't register, so it'll take more than 10 attempts. Be persistent and the Trophy will soon be yours.
Good luck!!

I just finished a game with 23 combos but didn't get the trophy. This is what happened almost every time : A tackle and B get the ball. So that is the question : does the player who perform the tackle have to be the same guy who get possession ?

Should it not be for a "sliding" tackle like the description says?

This achievement is very easy and will most likely unlock naturally. To perform a standing tackle, press while on defense. Perform 10 of these in a game and keep possession to earn this achievement. If you’re having trouble getting it you can connect a second controller and leave it still so that you don’t have to worry about the offense moving around while you’re trying to steal the ball.
Holding onto the ball during a standing tackle is actually quite easy, and will happen most of the time. You should not have to worry about this trophy, as you will get it naturally while going for the rest. You may even get it in the first match or two you play.
Holding onto the ball during a slide tackle may seem tricky at first, but you can increase your chances if you know what you’re doing. There are really two types of sliding tackle: one is a straight slide and the other hooks around the ball with one leg. It’s the second one you want, as the straight slide will more often than not knock the ball away.
To do the hook tackle reliably, approach the other player from behind and to the side, at an angle (45 degrees-ish) to the line of his run. If you run directly at him from the side or front, you will straight slide. If you run directly at him from behind, you will just foul him.
The other thing to watch out for is the speed of your slide. The faster you hit, the more likely you will lose control of the ball. You can try sliding a little earlier to hit lighter, or adjust the speed of your run in. Sprint () is often way too fast. Try using a normal speed run, or even to slow your approach.
I’d recommend you keep this trophy until you already have most of the rest, as you may get this through normal play along the way. Also, to see a good method to farm this while you try for that trophy as well, see Extra Effort.

To receive the trophy, you need to make a tackle (preferably near your own penalty area), and after the tackle, keep the ball with you, that is, at least one pass is enough. Therefore, we create a game with two joysticks, with one we “attack”, and with the second we make tackles and make one pass - after 10-15 attempts, the trophy is yours.

If there is no second joystick, then we set ourselves a stronger team, for example Arsenal, and I set the computer to Spartak. After that, in the match settings I set it to 20 minutes and the difficulty to professional, so that the computer would at least somehow go on the attack and it would not be too difficult to take the ball away from him. After the start of the game, we set the Bus tactic and wait for the computer players to approach your half of the field, I did not try to do this near the penalty area. At the 35th minute of the first half, this trophy had already fallen to us.

There is no point in sweating and struggling. The trophy is story-based and will come as the game progresses...
