How to unlock the Free Kick Specialist achievement in EA SPORTS FIFA 15 - Definitive Guide
This is done easiest with the use of a second controller. With the first controller take the ball up until at least 30 yards out. Then foul that player with the second controller. It’s easiest to foul someone if you slide tackle with from behind. Once you go into the free kick mode, press with the second controller, this will give you control of the goalie. Move the goalie all the way out of the goal. Now, with the first controller, shoot with the over the wall of defenders and into the goal. With the goalie completely out of the way you should have no problem getting this achievement.
This trophy can be done very quickly by either using a second controller, or getting an online friend to help you out. You can do this trophy in any normal match (Kick Off, Online Friendly, etc). When setting up the match, pick X. Aguilar Ramirez as the referee. He has a very low tolerance to fouls, so you can pick up fouls much more consistently than is usual. Also, make sure to pick a team with a pretty decent free taker: I used Real Madrid and Ronaldo.
To find the best spot for these long free kicks, first make sure you are far enough out. The penalty area is 18 yards out from goal. So basically add on just over half that distance again and you should be good. Then move either a few yards left or right of the centre depending on which foot your player favours: right footers go a few yards left, left footers go a few yards right.
Once you have your spot, have your player fouled. The most reliable tackle to give a foul away is to light slide directly into the back of the opposition player. It will work almost every time.
For a reliable free kick flight, aim a yard outside of the far goalpost. The natural curve of the ball will bring it back in. Hold the right stick straight up to put dip on the ball (make sure it’s straight) and give it about three bars of power. It should only take an attempt or two to score.
I’d recommend doing the penalty trophy at the same time as this one. See Shot Stoppers.
