Use this method for all 5 positions.
1 minute quarters. Accelerated clock set to 10 seconds
Rookie difficulty
Use whatever boosts you have. You can see boosts in the player upgrade page
Just play the games and try to finish them as quickly as you can. You get XP for game grade and whatever contract you signed you get XP from. You level up much faster just finishing games than trying to rack up stats on a longer timed game
With 5x XP boosts it'll take about 4 hours per position. I did CB in less than 2 seasons. QB took me 2.5 seasons and LB took me exactly 2 seasons although I didn't use the same boosts for each position.
I had preordered the Madden/college football bundle so I think that came with in game currency which I used to buy the 5x boosts
