How to unlock the Clean Sheet achievement in EA SPORTS Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR - Definitive Guide

I found both this and the Golf's Magic Number achievement very straightforward using the following settings.

Course: St Andrews
Hole Select: All Holes
Tee Select: Red
Pin Select: Monday
Course Conditions: Average
Wind Speed: 0 MPH
Time Of Day: Noon

The St Andrews course is very straightforward, with a lot of short par 4 holes reachable in one shot. The par 3 11th is probably the toughest, and even that is easy enough playing safe to the middle of the green. I hit my very first shot into the water and still went round in -21

pAiNkIlLaH also recommends going for the Full Foursome achievement at the same time. Playing with four players has the added advantage of only requiring one bogey-free round, making this achievement even easier!

Krazie x360a suggests that the Paracel Storm course is another good option, and is much easier to get the Golf's Magic Number achievement. It may be worth trying that first, and then switching to St. Andrews if you hit a bogey or two. St. Andrews is probably a more forgiving course if you just want the Clean Sheet achievement.

I got Full Foursome, Clean Sheet, and Golf's Magic Number in one game using the settings you recommend. As a note Clean Sheet unlocked at the end of the match even though a couple players hit bogeys. I think as long as one out of four players don't hit a bogey this will unlock. Or maybe just player one needs not hit a bogey?

I'd totally forgotten about Full Foursome, that's a good shout. Especially if like you get the added protection of only one player needing to go bogey-free. Thanks for the info! :)

Used these setting & ended up bogeying the 16th & 18th holes but that's just because my putting is so awful lol , these seem to be great settings for chasing the achievement.

Wtf? All four of my players shot bogey free sub 60 rounds and I got nothing. I noticed my custom settings were on. Maybe that was it?

How odd. I cant confirm it since I've already unlocked the achievement but if anyone else has experience of this I'll add it to the OP. May be worth sticking with Classic swing settings just in case.

I'd say 17 is toughest at Andrews. If you leave it short on your 2nd or hit the flag you have to try to putt up a step hill from big range and sucks.

I just unlocked this using a Custom Gameplay setting. So I can confirm that using that does not affect the achievement unlocking.

Can also confirm as of Dec 2022 that custom settings do not affect the achievement unlocking.

Popped all three 18 hole achievements in one go 👍🏾

Go to Play Now and then under course select choose Paracel Storm.

Paracel Storm is by far the easiest course to get this achievement on, as it is a Par 3 course and the greens are pretty darn easy compared to other courses. Aim near the hole (if you are coming up short press cn_RT to extend your shot or cn_LT to shorten it, although this is rarely necessary if you play as Rory), and you should be able to get a good lie and at least putt it in 2 strokes. The hole you may have most difficulty with is, I believe, the 3rd hole where you are shooting over the deck of the Battleship and can't see the green. simply just shoot without adjusting your aim or power and you will get on the green and at worst you should be able to 2 putt it for par.

The biggest tip I can give for this game is to pay attention the the blue line(arc) instead of the arrow, as that is where your ball is going to go if you hit it properly.

I recommend going for the 'Full Foursome' achievement (play an 18 round of Stroke Play in Play Now with 4 golfers) whilst going for this, as it is the shortest course and also good practice! You can do this with one controller just by adding 3 additional players to play the course. (I didn't bogey with any of them)

Inevitably by getting this achievement you will get the 'Golf's Magic Number' achievement (Shoot 59 or better in an 18 hole round of Stroke Play in Play Now)

Hope this helps! Please comment or message with any tips to improve the guide.

This should come naturally over time. All you need to do is complete ANY course on par or under. You can increase your chances of not going over par by also working towards the "Full Foursome" which involves playing a round with four golfers.

The reason it is a little easier playing with four golfers is that the course conditions are the same for all golfers so, you basically play each shot four times. If you over shoot a green with the first golfer, you can dial in the aim to land close to the pin with the second golfer. The fourth time you take the shot should therefore be perfect wink

This trophy is fairly simple, just play 18 holes in Play Now while getting par or better on each hole. Just try to hit all the fairways and greens in regulation and you should be fine. To make this easier set the wind to 0 and the tees to Red as the course will play shorter. Pick whatever course you like but St. Andrews is most likely the easiest.

You can do this on your four player stoke play or you can do it solo. Again, I recommend the Paracel Storm course as every hole is a par 3. Thanks to forum user animusVOXone for originally pointing that out.
