Same as GiantBallofOil, I won the Fed Ex Cup and no achievement. I tried deleting my saved data from console, but it was too late and it saved to cloud. Back to Gamefly for this piece of shit.

I won the Fedex Cup by 8000 points. In my career it says I have won it. No achievement.

I think you have to win the Finale to get the achievement. I won every tournament except that one and the achievement event didn't unlock despite winning the Fed Ex Cup.

I believe stuff has been added with the newer courses. I played a "career builder challenge" event right after earning my Pro card.

Thanks for this, I can't believe they didn't include a calendar in the game to see whereabouts you are in the season. Ridiculous.

There's a tournament missing from this list - before the "Northeast Invitational" there is an event called the "Pittsburgh Invitational". The Pittsburgh Invitational is not part of the FedEx Cup, so skip away if you have the 7000 point lead I had.

Can you play Multiple Seasons??? Like, Since my guy is a 65 now, will I be able to play some of these next season when my guy is much higher rated? I am not amazing at the game, and certain courses are REALLY giving me a hard time lol

I think the first thing to understand is that the Fed Ex Cup is a season long competition, whereby the winner is the person who racks up the most Fed Ex points during the year - not necessarily the winner of the last event.

Don't ask me how the points accumulate but needless to say, the better you do the more points you get. Also, the points increase as the year goes, so for example the last tournament carries loads more points than the first tournament. To help you can track where you are by looking under the Fed Ex rankings in the stats page.

Assuming you are winning all the majors for achievements, you will gain a lot of points, and what I would do is skip some of the lesser tournaments, but always check that I was still leading the points. If anyone get within 500 I would always play the next one.

The last 4 tournaments are technically a competition within, so be careful as if you drop too low in the rankings you could actually not be eligible for the next round (top 30 is crucial). As there are a lot of points on offer for the last 2 (Deutsche Bank and Tour Championship I believe) I would suggest you play them. Also, when you go into the last round, see who are in the top 5 of the Fed Ex - you can still win the Fed Ex even if you don't win the last tournament as long as no-one in the top 5 beats you.

Good luck!

**edit - it would appear that either the achievement wording is misleading, or the achievement itself is bugged - either way, as per feedback it would appear that winning the Fed Ex Cup is not good enough to unlock the achievement, and that you must actually win the last tournament to be able to get the achievement. As such make sure you win the final event to be sure to get the achievement!**

I won the Fed Ex cup but lost the last round. The achievement did not unlock so this guide is wrong. Do not trust it.

The guide is not wrong. I play golf and understand how the Fed Ex Cup works and rules. This is the way it works - I don't understand why it didn't unlock for you, but maybe you should do some more investigation before you start criticising.

You might know golf, but there's a chance the developers coded it wrong (or put the wrong description) and it actually wants you to win the Fed Ex final and not the Fed Ex Points leaderboard. Would possibly explain Darth Lordi's issue. I haven't gotten to a place to check myself yet.

Same scenario happened to me. I had the most points at the end of the final tournament, but I did not win that tournament. It flashed a message that I won the FedEx cup. But since I did not win that final tournament, no achievement for me. I conclude that you must win the final tournament to get this achievement.

Have no clue what you guys were talking about 6 years ago, but no, I won EVERY single event, had over 21000 points at the end, won the final tournament by far, and no achievement.

Says I won in the highlights, and won the FedEx cup. This achievement is clearly glitched.

Obtaining this achievement comes in two parts.
Part 1:
For the first part the idea is to make sure that you have the most points leading into the tour championship (Fed-ex Final). Each tournament offers anywhere between 250-600 points towards your tally, depending on the event. You do not have to play in every event so if you wish to save time you can withdraw from events if you feel you have a decent lead. To save time and effort, play through the tournaments on quick rounds. Where in each round you play anywhere between 4-9 holes as apposed to the full 18. If by the 4th round of a tournament you aren't in the lead or atleast striking distance of the lead, change the setting to full course play where playing the full 18 holes will give you the best opportunity to take the win.
Now if you play most of the tournaments and win most of them you should be several thousand points in front of the nearest player. Which can come in handy for the next part.

Part 2: so by now you should be at the playoff events. It is very important that you are careful when selecting to play or skip these events because each event nets up 2000 points for the winner and skipping could cost you the lead in the cup points. If you have a heavy lead and feel comfortable skipping them, make sure to check the leaderboard after each even as staying in 1st position is important.
The very final event is the tour championship. This is where coming in first place before now comes in handy as everyone's points are reset, with first place starting on 2000 points, second on 1800, all the way down to 30th position on 168 points.
This tournament can prove tricky with the other players scoring far better than previously during the championship.
Just like usual play through the rounds on quick rounds. If you aren't in a leading position by the 4th round, restart the game (close the game from dashboard) and start it up again. Changing the setting to full round. Now if your AI are anything like mine you will need to play a full round on the 4th as they had an absolute killer round 3. Play through the 4th round making sure that you have the lead to ensure that at the end you have the most overall points.
After doing so you will have won the fed ex cup and as you return to the menus your achievement will pop.

The FedExCup is the season long tournament on the PGA Tour in career mode. To win this you must perform the best in the season by accumulating the most points throughout each of the tournaments. Every event you compete in will count towards the your placement / ranking in the FedExCup. The better you place in a tournament the more points you will earn. If you win every tournament in a season you will easily get this trophy. You can skip events if you wish to hasten the process by withdrawing from events at the start screen. You can check how many points you have by navigating to Career History > Rankings > EA SPORTS Golf Ranking Points whilst in the Tour Pro menu.

Note: People have reported the trophy not unlocking despite winning the Season Finale and having the most amount of points. In order to avoid this, it is advised that you play all four of the play-off Tournaments before the final event and not withdraw from them.

Over the course of your career you'll earn points towards the FedEx Cup. You can check your current ranking in the career menu. After the wins required for "Top of the Heap" you should be way out in front of the rankings. You'll need to win the Season Finale event. I'm not sure if you need to play the FedEx cup playoffs or not.
