How to unlock the The Legend achievement in EA SPORTS UFC 2 - Definitive Guide

You have two options:

Ranked Championships, which is the regular online mp found in the main menu.

Ultimate Championship, which is the UT online mp found in UFC Ultimate Team menu.

I suggest doing regular online (ranked) and choose the best fighter for the weight class you prefer to fight in. Just win 4 times in a row, and the achievement is yours.

As for fighting, you don't need to be a pro, but you do need some skill and strategy. Keep your distance, don't forget to use body shots (majority just cover their heads). Take your time, do not rush your opponent or you will get Jose Aldo'd. Not every punch or kick has to be a haymaker (lb).

Good luck.toast

Just got it, and I suck at this.

Definately the hardest achievement in the game.
Due to those asshole lagswitch people.

Hint: Get your fitness to 100 % only 1 time !
After that just keep fighting and DONT use "fitness "

Hope this helps

Ok so I just encountered my first championship fight and sure enough the minute it started I was hit with a massive amount of lag what wasn't present during any of my other fights. Such BS that EA don't have some sort of system in place that detects this, it's also BS they put this awful achievement in the game! :(

I had to win six fights in a row. The final fight was brutal as my opponent only seemed to play multiplayer (I checked his stats). It resulted in a nice story to remember for my 100% of UFC 2.

I don't think than you can boost this achievement because many players are present and in Live ultimate team i tried with one player we were able to make a one fight and after that impossible to find us together...

If you try to find at the same time in ultimate team surely it’s possible because the game is dead, not to many players playing, do you already got this achievement?

Update from comment above:

I won the championship in Ultimate team, here's how I did:

1) Always have 100% fitness for each fight so you have full stamina.
2) Use both "train for next fight" options to upgrade, the ones that were most helpful for me were the stamina, toughness, and chin/leg/body bonuses (10% increase)
3)I recommend doing Heavyweight because most of your matches will be striking ending in KO/TKO and if you throw in a few takedowns your chances of winning a decision are very high.

I made a 6'4 235 pound heavyweight kick boxer , and won the heavyweight champion on a 5 round split decision after many attempts and fails in ranked matches. Easier or not I felt playing Ultimate team characters were easier than playing for example: Mcgregor (99 standup) or George St. Pierre (Wrestling).

Looking to boost this? Here's what you need to know. The other guides discuss some uncertainty to how the Title Fight actually comes up. I was confused for some time until I had an idea... both accounts need to be a Contender (meaning, they've won 4 straight fights) to match up. There are additional considerations for boosting. You need to match up against 2 different accounts before you can rematch with a particular profile.

So, here's how you'd build the ladder needed to get player 1 this achievement.

Player 1 has the following gamertags on their console and with EA accounts created (there seems to be a daily cap per console. I had issues... you may too)
MAIN 1
alt 1
alt 2
alt 3
alt 4

Player 2 (on the other console) has the following gamertags on their console and with EA accounts created
MAIN 2 (or alt 8 if dual-boxing)
alt 5
alt 6
alt 7

1 - Player 1 makes sure MAIN 1 is the selected profile in-game. This is verified in the bottom right corner. If the profile needs to be changed, see step 7 below.
2 - Player 2 should have MAIN 2 signed in.
3 - Both players enter Ranked Championships.
4 - Chose Fight Now. Select a specific weight class that's hopefully less populated and have both players search at the same time. As long as you are both in the same division you should match up immediately. If you are a division apart or more, it will take a few more seconds for the search to widen out.
5 - Select any fighters desired.
6 - MAIN 1 wins the fight.
* 7 - Player 2 backs out to the main menu and selects the Customize option. Move over to the Profiles box and change to alt 5. Reenter Ranked Championships and let MAIN 1 win again. Repeat with alt 6 then alt 7.
8 - MAIN 1 has 4 straight wins and should be ranked 'Contender'. Now its time to build the other side.
9 - Player 1 backs out to the main menu and selects the Customize option. Move over to the Profiles box and change to alt 1. Reenter Ranked Championships and let alt 7 win. Repeat with alt 2, alt 3 and alt 4.
10 - alt 7 now has 4 straight wins and should be ranked 'Contender'.
11 - Player 1 backs out to the main menu and selects the Customize option. Move over to the Profiles box and change to MAIN 1. Reenter Ranked Championships and let MAIN 1 win the Championship.

That's the achievement for player 1. Repeat for player 2 if needed.

hi ,

[first of all this guide is not complete, because there are things that I did not quite understand and that i forgot]

you need to go on " division championships " and win 4 times in a row.

( now I have a doubt if it's 3 or 4 wins in a row to be on title contender)

once the 4 wins ( or 3 i'm sorry but i don't remember), you will be on the "title contender" box.

before you reach "title contender" if you lose you will be demoted.

after reaching it (title contender), i don't know if you can be demoted because i got destroyed 3 times in a row lmao and i remained at title contender.

it is only once you are "contender for the title" that you will have the box "fight for the title"

this is one of the problematic points, to be able to unlock the achievement, you will have to win the fight where he will be marked in a box [fight for the title].

you will see [fight for the title] when you choose your fighter

I didn't understand how it works at all because I did between 3 to 5 fights I think before I came across this fight.

once you win the achievement is yours.

( return to the menu and close the game will not change anything you will have a defeat anyway laugh )

also changing categories shouldn't change anything because i made all my victories until reaching "title contender" with demetrious johnson and the "title fight" with fighter joanna jedrzejczyk.

to change category during straight wins would have to be tried to see if it works.

concerning the fights, it is really random, I do not think that I have a good level but it is either I am destroyed or I destroyed and it is passing several times narrowly

adapt your style of play in relation to your opponent, vary the shots, hit the chest and the head. ( by mixing blows)

for example if your opponent is constantly protecting the head, hit the torso.

also something that happened to me earlier, during a fight I had fallen against a player who was kicking the head always ,with the fighter I had I won him in him dismantling the legs.

when I saw that he was going to kick me I protected myself and straight after I kicked him a lot in the legs

pay attention to your stamina. do not reduce it too much otherwise you will run out of stamina during the end of the fights, kicks consume a lot of stamina

if you are good at the ground you can try. I haven't seen a lot of people looking to go to the ground. it is possible that many have a low level.

also having "knowledge" of ufc this helps lmao. Some fighter are better than others, personally I did most of my fights with demetrious johnson.

before choosing a fighter try it in training, because some are strong but are specialized in areas that you may not be able to and some do not have the same blows as others.

for example some kicks the head and others only kicks the legs and / or the chest.

{Please do not go down the guides without saying why and for no valid reason thanks :) }

So after just getting this my advice would be to try some normal quick fights first to build your skill and also just practice the ground game a little. Seeing as this comes down to personal skill I will add a couple of pointers that helped me.

1 - don't for get to hit the body, sounds simple but the amount of people I see going for head only is silly. You'll then open the head up for some sweet shots
2 - don't panic when on the ground a lot of the time the opponent will gas themselves trying for position. When this happens you'll easily get up.
3 - take your time. There is no need to go in all guns blazing straight away. Pace the fight.

Method for Ultimate Team.
At the initial stage it is quite difficult to do, because... The fighter is weak, and there are no cards at all, I advise:
-Make a fighter with the Muay Thai type of fighting (easier) or Greco-roman , because... they have good initial techniques and characteristics (description below), the other (Greco-Roman) has clinch and ground indicators, if you don’t want to fight, then the best class is Mu-ay Thai; it has a clinch for throwing in its database , as well as thai clinch ;
-create fighters in the ultimate team in all weight categories (light weight, medium, heavy and women);
-Gradually you will get a pack of cards for one of these classes + universal cards, invest them all in one fighter, i.e. put all universals into one class;
-If you don’t rush in any category, move on to another.
-In the first division, 50% of players do not know how to block a knee strike to the head from a Thai clinch, so a Mu-ay Thai fighter (L1 + right stick to the right) - a quick pass into a Thai clinch, then hold down L1+ / , can be combined with L1+ / Thus, we hit the head with a knee or an elbow and the opponent is defeated.
-Always watch your stamina , don’t just toss and turn on the ground, try to block the enemy’s transitions (R2+right stick in the direction of the transition), and then hit. If the enemy is in top mount (sitting on you), then it is better to block a couple of blows 1-2, and only then get out, otherwise you will lose stamina and receive crushing blows to the head.
-If you chose greco-roman , then go to the ground , no need to wave your fists and legs , constantly try to throw your opponent + right stick to the right, or from the clinch over-under + and the right stick in any direction (except right - you don’t have this throw in the base). A throw to the legs passes 100% if the enemy attacks you with his hands at the same time. Get into top mount and hit short / blows to the face, preferably with one hand, i.e. or or , then you will break through the enemy’s block and all that remains is to smash his face. + they pass faster, which allows him to disrupt the transition to a sortie from under you (it turned out a little chaotic here ). Powerful strikes (elbow) type l1+ + , they take a long time to do and don’t hit the target exactly (they get blocked) + they burn a lot of stamina, you can finish them off with them at the end if the enemy can no longer block.
-get fitness boosts and generally keep an eye on them, because... they affect your stamina, buy yourself at least 1-2 packs for 1500 gold to play non-stop.
-every 3 lvls, don’t forget to pick up cards in Inboox - this is where packs are bought, you just need to look through them.
-do not make rash changes to attributes, i.e. there is no need to pump everything into the fighter. Choose a strategy, for example - throw like, sit in FULL MOUNT and hit the face, then download ground and pound + top game and set the perk to increase damage from this position (if you have it). sacrifice joint submissions or kicks, but don't take down (as this is part of your tactics).
Of the very rare and important attributes (which you can pump into small damage for yourself), I would highlight: chin, body health, stamina, tougness - the first two things will allow you to survive longer, the second two will allow you to fight longer and by the third round you will not turn out to be a limp shit .
-place bets on Live events , maybe you are a clairvoyant and accurately predict the outcome of the event and receive packs of cards. , I (to be honest) have never guessed the required number of points for the pack.
-daily you receive 500 coins per team, but these are crumbs, of course. In general, you can get one premium pack for 5k a day, when playing for an hour or two, but in general EA is ***, I already paid 4k (at the time of release) for the game, and they demand more money to be poured into these e *** cards. . It’s rare, but there are charity events for poor schoolchildren, whose mother gives 100 rubles for breakfast and they can’t save it on cards in UFC 2, because even a pie already costs 30 rubles, and juice 20 rubles, (there’s a long joke about sanctions and the problem), and dad’s credit card is out of your reach, so EA gives free sets of gold cards , I got a Mike Tyson set and a couple of golden punches, for this you need to go into the game every day and check for the sets. In addition, with the new patch they introduced a daily pack for winning, there are, of course, not very many cardboard boxes, but at the initial stage at least something.

Unfortunately, EA fixed the coins for losing, it was 200 now 100, so you will have to fight, and not skip battles. Buy only premium pack for 5000 , because... Of them, at least something really drops, don’t chase packs of 12,000 (this is essentially a 2.5 premium pack), and 1-2 good moves drop there, the rest are boosts and training.

Not entirely accurate about 4 won fights, I had 7 victorious fights before my opponent, the belt holder, came out against me

Personally, I don’t recommend torturing the trophy in UT, especially if your skill is below average (like mine). Personally, I fought 40 battles, lost 28 of them, because maybe it was luck or something, but I came across two orders of magnitude better players with pumped characteristics almost to the maximum. And so in most battles there was no chance against them.

At the same time, having entered the Ranked Championship, I played a little over 20 fights and won 13 of them and twice reached the belt holder. Actually, it came out on the second try. Therefore, I advise you to knock it out there.

I got it in UT twice while farming 100,000 coins (the last time by accident, literally 1-2 battles before reaching the coveted amount).
The advice will be like this.
Create a fighter in lightweight or middleweight (there are too few players in the heavyweight and women's divisions in 2020). When creating, give it the maximum possible height (thereby increasing Reach). In UT, basically 95% of fights are stand-up, so it’s better to create some kind of kickboxer (if you have mastered wrestling skills, then try a wrestler. Perhaps the trophy will be easy-easy for you). We buy all packs only for this fighter. We pump up the rack. And slowly, without leaving the first division, try and try. My win/loss ratio was 45/130.

If you play ranked, then 4 wins in a row is enough.

In ut you need three wins in a row - then you become a contender for the belt and you have to wait until the champion comes along. If you lose, then you still remain a contender (I don’t know for sure, maybe if you lose many times, you’ll stop being one). After 3 victories, a champion may randomly come across and you need to win against him. If you lose to a champion, everything is reset and you need to re-do 3 wins in a row.

Z.y. As the game progresses, a champion may come across. But in this case it will not be a championship fight and, accordingly, they will not give a trophy.

z.y.2. While I was boosting 100k coins, I somehow miraculously won the belt in UT. Usually, at most, I become a contender and the champ knocks me down in a couple of seconds. IMHO it’s easier and faster to win against the company in ranked by submissions

You don't have to stick to Ranked mode. I concluded for myself that winning a trophy is much easier in Ultimate Team. Yes, there may be donors there, but the chance is extremely low.
Most often you are on an equal footing with other players and can win.
Plus, in UT the fighters are not so durable, and this can be taken advantage of, forcing the opponent to throw punches into nowhere and waste energy.
I personally couldn’t become a champion in Ranked, but in Ultimate Team just yesterday I took a belt in 4 weight categories.

PS> A little positive...
I've never had a funnier title defense.)

Let me clarify about the boost. The same players do not connect 2 times in a row. But if you had a fight, and after that you both fought with other players twice, then you will be connected to each other again.
