This will be earned once you earn the #1 Contender before actually going for the title fight.
I assumed this would unlock upon actually fighting the title holder however it is indeed for becoming the #1 Contender.
Before the fight you will get a video from Dana White advising that if you win the fight you will get a title shot. This is the fight to win for this achievement.
This happened for me 20 fights into an undefeated career.
