How to unlock the There Is No "Try" achievement in EA SPORTS UFC - Definitive Guide

This achievement is straight forward. I can CONFIRM that you DO NOT have to get a black belt on all the challenge to complete this. As long as you go through the motion it doesnt matter what belt you get(even white) it will count as being completed. NOTE: You have to get better than a white belt on the 10th challenge of each challenge type for it to count as completed challenge.

The hardest challenge that involves a lot of luck is the advanced stand-ups 10th challenge. Other than that this achievement is pretty simple

I've got a tip for the Level 10 Stand-up sparring: Use your kicks! Hold LT and LB to do strong body damage, and he'll curl over for the black belt.

I gave up on the wobbled one around the start of advanced striking. EVERY strike i get hit with I get wobbled and he stumbles around the whole damn time. I hit them with 10 or more perfect head kicks with full stamina and nothing he hits me with one and the usual crap happens i have no idea what's wrong with it or what's happening. angry

For the 10th challenge on advanced stand-ups i stupidly got knocked out when my points were on 1880 and im not sure if its a glitch but as i went to try again i noticed it gave me the brown belt

Just replay that last challenge on the challenges. I didn't get the achievement after completing it, then I replayed it on challenge 10 on movement and bloop it popped. So if it didn't pop before just play the last challenge, Hope it helps and works out for everyone with the same issue.

As I've been going through these challenges, if I get a white belt on any of them, then the next challenge doesn't unlock until I get at least a blue belt. So it seems you have to get at lesat a blue to progress through the challenges. You may want to change the solution to reflect this.

If I could do a like for Garner Ash's comment I would. Totally saved me, tried this 30 some times with no success. Used the body shots and ended it first try. Thank you

I had the most trouble with submissions. On the advanced stand ups I dodged consistently and hit him with left hooks. When he got wobbled I superman punched him. Knock out.

Advanced submissions 2 challenge has so far been impossible for me, never gives me the option to flick the L stick therefore making this achievement unobtainable, not happy!!

You'll find the Challenges in the menu screen. There's 90 challenges all up and they're very straight forward. It took me over an hour to do them all.

The only semi-difficult challenges are the submission ones, which take a few goes and the last of the Advanced Stand Up Challenge which it tells you to spar with a live partner. To pass that challenge just try and knock the guy out as quick as you can :)

The challenges will teach you how to play the game properly. There are a total of 90 challenges that need to be completed, luckily they do not have to be completed to Black belt level as long as it say you completed the challenge you are good to move on to the next one. Complete all 90 challenges to unlock the trophy. I have listed all of the sections for the challenges and broken down each section

Stand Up - 50
  • Movement - 10
  • Advanced Stand Up - 10
  • Heavy Bag - 10
  • Thai Pads - 10
  • Blocking - 10
Clinch - 20
  • Clinch Striking - 10
  • Clinch Control - 10
Ground - 20
  • Wrestling - 10
  • Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu - 10

As long as you each a score of 200, to advance past the white belt and onto the next challenge, that is enough to count that challenge complete towards the trophy.

There are a total of 90 training challenges split across three areas. 

  • Stand Up: 50 challenges
  • Ground: 20 challenges
  • Clinch: 20 challenges

They are all fairly simple and just task you with completing various tasks within a time limit. You don’t have to achieve the maximum rank to complete the challenges. The achievement will unlock after completing the final challenge.
