How to unlock the Champions of Umbra achievement in Earthlock: Festival of Magic - Definitive Guide
After Suvia, you will travel to a train station, and eventually fight a sentient train boss. This boss will give you a perk called "And back again." This is one of the best perks in the game, that auto-revives your party members once per battle when they go down. Craft this for each party member.
Now for the fun part. Find a large group of enemies and finally try out the explode move. If powered up correctly, it should wipe out every enemy on the stage. Any team mates that went down will be auto revived. I'd recommend traveling in and out of an area near a save point, so the enemies respawn quickly, and so you can save. Took about 10-20 minutes to get a group of characters from 15 to level 20.
My party always had Taika in it, when stacked full of magic talents his attacks should 2 turn kill most enemies and survivors can be quickly mopped up by weaker characters. Taika can be backed up with haste from Pat or Gnart and/or Olia using her Slashing Swing AoE to speed things along.
In this dungeon at the very start 4 groups of 4 cross paths. If you pull them together in a group of 8 they are very easy to kill and award 3k xp. once both groups are dead. walk out and back into the dungeon and save / repeat.
you can even lvl bonds here.
Bond 1-3 are 1 fight each, Bond 4-5 are 2-3 fights each. (7 fights total for 5 star bond)
Very fast and easy with AOE damage.
This trophy is for leveling all characters to level 20. There are 6 total characters in the game with PAT being the final character to join your party. Everyone should be in the levels around 13-16 when you get everyone. Usually, Olia and PAT will be the lowest in terms of levels since they both joined your party late. Reaching level 20 actually doesn't even take that long and you can farm levels to become even stronger. It's recommended that you grind the Tournaments until you're in your high-level 16s then proceed on with the story once again.
Below are some tips on how to gain XP:
- Fight and defeat every enemy you encounter while working on completing the Bestiary (see Owl Tide Bestiary ).
- You get the most XP by gathering large groups of enemies at once for one huge battle against them all. Be sure to press in order to gain the First Strike in combat. This enables your party the first turn in the battle queue regardless of character's Speed Stats.
- Farm Tournaments to fully level up all Bonds between all characters and get XP while doing it (see Fearless in Karba and Festival Masters ).
In all honesty, you'll reach level 20 naturally before even reaching the final second dungeon of the game (Karba). Additionally, you need to be level 20 before you face the Hollow Knight, which is a hidden Boss Fight and the strongest boss in the entire game (see Konkylian Custodian ). Once your 6th character reaches level 20, the trophy will unlock at the end of the battle results.
There are six total playable characters in the game. The final two added to the party (Taika and Pat) join quite under leveled compared to where the rest of your characters will be when they join, so unless you spend some time getting them up to speed right away, they will likely be left on the sidelines for the majority of the game. You'll have to work on their levels and bonds at some point though.
To level up more quickly, it is beneficial to group together as many enemies as possible. Obviously this will make for a tougher fight, but if you have your super abilities charged, you can easily take on 6-8 enemies at once. You get a multiplier for every extra enemy, so you can rack up a few thousand xp in one battle if you're bold enough.
You'll likely get to Level 20 with your main group before the end of the game, so you'll just need to grind with the other characters a bit somewhere safe where they won't die and lose out on the experience. I personally used the first area of the Tremel Tree until it stopped giving experience, then the first area of the Underwater Mile.
