How to unlock the Disciple of the Onurasi achievement in Earthlock: Festival of Magic - Definitive Guide
1/ There is the just enough Talent Point available in the game to get the board full. So to get those you must a) get all team members to lvl 20 and b) get all bonds between team members to 5.
2/ There is more skills cards available in the game than needed. Same for perk, as you can craft them. But ability card (link to a specific team member) would come with story or quest. Likely the last you will get (for Amon) is coming from the Gold rank on Suvia tournament.
3/ Taika needs to learn 4 abilities with her "6th sense", from 4 specific monsters. see below :
Quake : Crabler in the first open area
Lightning : Learn from Sparktank in the 3rd open area
Frost Bite : Barghest (Blue) in the last ice area
Gust : Little Marvel (Blue) in the last ice area
No luck here, it's a 100% success rate. if you get a "learn nothing message", you are trying on the wrong monster...
To get other abilities with taika you must use sixth sense on enemies during battle to learn more. so far I have only learned gust from the blue little marvels. The best shot at learning abilities is most likely from enemies such as little marvel, djins, ympkins, and anything that uses magic.
I hope this helps.
*EDIT* I have just earned the achievement and can say for sure you will get an ability from Little marvels, spark beetles, frost beetles, and those over grown crabcakes like the ones found just before entering zabirium temple or around Nadir.
To clarify a bit for others, as Taika you can use Sixth Sense to get the follow 4 abilities:
- You can learn Gust from a Blue Little Marvel
- You can learn Lightning from a Sparktank (a variety of beetle)
- You can learn Frost Bite from a Blue Barghest
- You learn Quake from a Desert Crabler (Found in the Zaber desert, not the hot one)
If there are any other skills you can learn for him I haven't found them yet. Also both the Sparktank & Blue Barghest do show up in the Survia tournament if you don't want to go chasing them around the world.
I'm missing what looks like either Pack Call or Battle Buddies. On a message board, someone said they had Battle Buddies. When I fought the dark Taika's they used an ability called Pack Call, so I'm not sure what it's called, or where to get it.
Any idea what it is or where to find it? I don't want to search the entire world. :D
This trophy is for completely filling the entire Talent Board for all 6 characters. This is something that you'll unlock naturally just by playing through the game as the Talent Board is used to customize and power up characters to make them even stronger. On the Talent Boards, you use Stat Talents to boost the character's stats, Perk Talents to apply passive abilities and Ability Talents to add more combat abilities. Talents can only be added to their corresponding nodes.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Adding Talents costs one Talent Point and must be next to an already active Talent.
- Adding a new Talent next to an existing Talent will unlock it.
- Existing Perk, Stat or Ability Talents can be unlocked by strategically placing new Talents.
- Existing Talents can be swapped with other Talents of the same type.
- At certain Bond levels (Bond levels 1/3/5), a Talent Point will be gained, so it's a good idea to level up all Bonds between all characters (see Fearless in Karba )
Last of all, I do want to mention that Taika is the only character that you need to worry about. His Ability Talents aren't given to you automatically by playing through the story. In order to get his Ability Talents, you need to use his Sixth Sense ability on specific enemies to learn a new elemental ability. They are the following four abilities:
- Quake - Desert Crabler - Northwest
- Lightning - Sparktank - Plains
- Gust - Little Marvel Blue - Nadir or Zaber Tournament (be sure to equip it if gained from Tournament)
- Frost Bite - Blue Barghest - Nadir
You can learn these elements from other enemies as well, but these are the most basic types of enemies to learn them from. If you see an enemy that use Earth/Lightning/Wind/Ice elements and your Taika still doesn't have that ability. Use Six Sense to try and learn the ability and if you get it, add it to her Talent Board and she'll be able to use it in battles.
The Talent Boards are basically the game's version of skill trees. There are a few set abilities inside each talent board, and the rest of the board is blank to start. When you fill in the blank tiles to touch the set ones, those skills/bonuses will activate (and you can swap them out for something else if you don't use them). There are three different types of slots, so you may need to wait for a drop or craft something depending on the slot you want to fill compared to when you actually earn the talent point to fill it.
Talent Points (TP) are gained once per level, though you also earn bonus TP from Level 1/3/5 of the Bonds you form with each character, so this will be where the majority of your points come from. You'll get enough Stat (round) and Ability (diamond) cards throughout the game to fill all those nodes, but the Perk (Jigsaw Piece) nodes will take some extra crafting to fill in. See "Great Wave Alumni" for help with that.
The one character who can be a bit confusing in this task is Taika. Taika's ability cards will be earned by using his Sixth Sense ability on specific enemies to learn new attacks (whereas everyone else gets theirs from chests and/or bosses). These are as follows:
- Lightning - Sparktank
- Frost Bite - Barghest (Blue)
- Gust - Little Marvel (Blue)
- Quake - Crabler
It's possible you could learn these from other creatures, but these are the four that worked for me.
