Eastward

Through each chapter of the game you will come across what are known as “ Salt Beetles”. These flying bugs appear only in one area on most chapters and will fly away when attacked with Sams ability or if you get too close to them. Every time you attack them with Sams ability they will drop a small amount of salt which is this games currency. In order to get this an achievement you will need to constantly attack these beetles and get them to drop salt until you reach 1000 salt earned. The beetles in each area will respawn if you go to any other area and come back. So the way to get this achievement is to find any beetle and to attack it, gather the salt, go to another area, come back and repeat until you get the achievement to pop. There is a particularly easy area that offers a bunch of the fauna that give Sams ability charge when she attacks them in the secret area of the Island of Time near the end of the game. (Which is where I personally did this farm for the achievement.)

An easy spot to get this is in chapter 2 after you get to your cabin for the first time. You'll be ask to help gather pigs just south of the cabin.

After crossing the small body of water on the raft you can exit to a small area on the bottom left. There will be 3 pod plants and the Salt bug on the tree to the right.

You can farm this quickly by shooting the 3 pods the left with one shot then shoot the bug 4 times with Sam netting you 20 salt per. Just zone out and zone back in, rinse and repeat till completed.
