It's a good idea to do this your first time around. Saves you alot of time by cutting it to one playthrough, and it really isn't that hard with the cover system.

I think it's quite easy overall, just take your time and you'll get through in a breeze. Not even the tentacle boss was that hard.

Thanks ssmaster69er, will edit post =)

This game wasn't play tested at all on this difficulty most enemies require you to mag dump.

Second Level boss fight is complete RNG on enemy's attacking you. The beginning of the Third level is borderline impossible because enemies upon spawning on the fourth wave will kill Bill before you even have a chance to see them.

Every single level is 2-3 hours long due ALL THE RNG AND CHEAP DEATHS YOU WILL GET. THIS IS COD WAW LEVEL OF THE GAME CHEATING.

I'm happy I don't have to play through this trashfire again. One of the most unfair difficulties I've ever seen.

I found this guide (created by the publishers themselves) linked on X360A in one of the forums so all credit goes to BBALL UK who posted it there first.

http://www.electronictheatre.co.uk/pdffaqs/Eat_Lead_Wal....pdf (3.8MB)

Helped me out with some of the more difficult parts of this game and it's achievements.

It looks like IGN have the developer's guide hosted on their site. Can't remember much about it as it's been years since I saw it but the page's title is "Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard Developer's Guide" so I guess it comes down to how much you trust IGN.

One trick I found particularly useful on my Maximum Hazard playthrough was being able to shoot through walls. That's right - shoot through walls!

Much like Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, instead of taking cover on a wall, it is better to stand behind a wall and aim through it. Enemies won't be able to shoot you, but you can still shoot them.

Obviously there are some parts of the game where this trick won't work, during boss battles etc., but for the majority of the game you can literally shoot through walls.

Please comment if you vote negatively. I will edit my solution to make it better.

Basicly Gears of War 1-3 you did this alot in multiplayer and commonly use it in many 3rd person shooters, it works on virtually any 3rd person shooter

I've posted a Maximum Hazard playthrough to Youtube, playlist found here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfDC5d996dRFHIorjfTJf.... If you're stuck somewhere, it might help out as a walkthrough. I'd recommend going ahead and doing it as your first playthrough; the game isn't too difficult when you play cautiously, and there's no progression system of any kind so you don't have to worry about going in underpowered.

Full Credit go to user Leo Ascendant

Begin Quote

"Should note that, if you replay a level on a lower difficulty, the game saves THAT completion, so if you finish "Hide and Sake" on Maximum, but then replay it on Minimum, it'll save the Minimum completion.

So it other words, only your latest completion counts on each level"

End Quote

For anyone whom wanted to get the deathless run first after failing on max hazard and didn't get the achievement for Medium and Hard difficulty in the end.

Just do said level you replayed on Minimum Hazard on Maximum Hazard And the Achievements for Normal and Hard will unlock. Given the fact you did the rest on Maximum Hazard without replaying levels on lower diffiuclties

This 10+ Year old comment from Leo saved my ass and since this was a comment it might get overlooked, but I found this very helpful and glad I've read this and thus decided I found this was worthy of a "guide"

Enter the first part of the Konami Code (Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right) at the difficulty selection menu to unlock Maximum Hazard without having to play through once first.

Don’t repeat my mistake, play right away on the Maximum Hazard difficulty, to do this, enter the cheat code when selecting the difficulty (does not disable receiving achievements)

(up up down down left right left right)
