Island Zone is the 10th level in the game (11 if you include the starting area as a level). This isn't my map (came from the guide on x360a by EliteAchievr420), but the glyph is marked on this map as a white square. Once you come across him, use your sonar on the glyph.

This was an interesting part of the game for me, and it struck me as odd that they blatantly point it out with an achievement, as I always saw it as an oversight by the developers... a sort of leftover they forgot to edit out.

I thought it was odd too. It's a while since I did this achievement, but the message in the glyph is an old one from early in the game, isn't it? I have to wonder why it was left in and, like you say, pointed out with an achievement of such high value!

You can find this glyph right about the middle of the map, just after you come acroos a killer whale you can speak with. If your having trouble finding the glyph, the link below has a map with the glyph marked as a WHITE square.
