Late in Chapter 2, Lilli will come into possession of an owl flute (a whistle). Take this to the Bridge area and use it on Gerret to summon an owl. Use the whistle on the owl and choose the following dialogue options, in order:

Sorry
Stop that
Never mind
Hahaha
Stop that
