How to unlock the Workhorse achievement in eFootball PES 2020 - Definitive Guide

You can play any kind of match you like, in any mode. But it can't be a simulated match, it has to be an actual match, where you played, and you must finish it, no matter the result. If you try to get the other achievements, you will probably get it while going for them.

That is weird. I got the achievement for 100 matches while playing "I am a legend". Are you actually playing the matches, or simulating them? You can't simulate them

yeah ive played all modes, ive got the 100 goals one which is odd.

Does this have to be done in ‘versus’ mode so it saves the data?

You can play in local mode with 2 controllers (or more), it works. I've got the cheevo with only 21 games played versus the IA
