How to unlock the Unstoppable achievement in Eight Dragons - Definitive Guide
This achievement is unlocked by completing Arcade mode and having at least 2 lives. As in; x2 by your health bar. You can die as long as you have either x2 or x3 by the end of your run. I cannot vouch for x2 but I can guarantee x3 with dying unlocks the achievement.
You should play on Easy with the speed set to Fastest if you’d like to get through this as painlessly as possible.
I would recommend using Locke over anyone else. His ‘jump kick’ move is actually a jump punch that flies forward and can take out groups of enemies. Often times you’ll hit them even if they aren’t on the same layer. He also has a ton of health and good damage.
A good rule of thumb for this is to try to get weapons whenever possible and attack enemies the moment they try to get up. You’ll get a feel for the timing as you go. Additionally, remember to hit enemies in the order you knock them down to avoid getting overwhelmed and stunlocked.
Arcade mode is about 6-8 stages. Two bosses. One at the halfway point and one at the end. In my case, I had Slicker and Mr. Big.
Slicker is simple enough. Crouch and sit while he shoots. Eventually he will walk up to you so he can try to kick you. Hit him. Rinse and repeat. Don’t worry about the enemies. When he shoots he kills all of his cronies.
For Mr. Big, you want to ensure you take the pool stick in the pub area so you have to for the fight. Beat down his cronies and spam him with the pool stick. He should keep getting up and trying to come after you. Spam it, don’t let up or he’ll grab you and slam you on the ground.
If you run into a different boss...
Bertha: Just back up and wait for her to run at you. When she does, do your jump punch. If you’re having issues w/ spacing, hold the back button so you don’t fly farther. She’ll just run into your fist.
I haven’t fought the other boss yet so I can’t vouch for him at the time of writing this.
Hopefully this helps and makes this achievement seem less daunting!
