How to unlock the Expert Appraiser achievement in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes - Definitive Guide

Often during battle you will get "Unknown" items (usually coins and pocket watches) that you can then take to an Appraiser's shop to reveal what they actually are and sell them for money. You'll get dozens to hundreds of these during natural play, so appraising ten of these is a small request.

This is acquired by taking 10 Unknown items designated with ??? to an appraiser in any city. This would almost certainly come naturally while playing the game, especially if at any point you run the Lucky badge/Super Lucky badge which moderately/greatly respectively boosts item drop rate. However, to get this extremely quickly go to The Den of the Dunes*(the location where Quinn's recruitment quest takes place in the north of the Sandy Sea) and hunt the little sand worms. They have a high chance of dropping Gold Coin and Royal Gold Coin(denoted with ??? before being appraised). Slap on a lucky badge and you will be drowning in them.

*Take into account that this area's monsters are baselined for level 37, I used this area to boost unused characters levels to see what they were like when my core party was level 40-43 and had to leave the area for my whole inventory was ???s. A quick way to stack cash in early-mid game.
