How to unlock the Treasure Hunter achievement in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes - Definitive Guide
There are a total of 227 chests in the game. After you recruit Chron and build the Achievement Society blueprint in your base, you can chat with Chron to check the # of chests you've found.
Chests that are in combat seem to count towards this number; there aren't many and they're listed in the guide so make sure to grab them.
Neoseeker has an excellent guide for all the chests. I'll leave it here for the full list.
https://www.neoseeker.com/eiyuden-chronicle-hundred-heroes/A...
If you get to the end of the game and are still missing some, below I'll list the most well hidden chests that you are likely to have missed. Check these first before painstakingly going through every location again. Make sure to equip 2 Monster Repel Charm accessories when hunting for these so you don't waste time with random fights. (unless you need a combat chest)
HARDEST TO FIND CHESTS
Use Neoseeker's maps as a reference for where each of these are located on the local map:
Abandoned Mine
900 Baqua (SW of 2nd map on the upper circular platorm)
Road to the Proving Grounds
1500 Baqua (eastern one)
Proving Grounds
Spiked Armor - combat chest (this battle only appears in a very small area so it's easy to miss)
If you didn't follow a guide through this area you most likely missed some other chests as it can be very confusing to reach some of these. Use Neoseeker's story guide through this area if you think you missed any.
Greatwoods South
Malachite Brooch
Gazpacho Recipe - Combat chest (can be overlooked because you can find this recipe elsewhere. Even if you already have the recipe, double check you've found this chest) - TA user AOS Puck mentioned this
Seaside Cavern
Rune of SP
Shandar Ridge
Rune of Mighty Power
Knight's Guard
Rune Research Lab
Rune of Swift Speed
Mystic Magic Medicine
Ice Cave
Faded Book, Chapter 10
The Chelonian Goliath
Rune of the Mage's Pinnacle
Forceful Armband
Faded Book, Chapter 18
Castle Harganthia
Faded Book, Chapter 9
Elemental Symbol
Ruby Bangle

I followed Neo's guide also but still somehow missed 2 at the end and had to go searching. That's when I decided to write this guide. Easy to overlook a couple when there's soooo many, ha.

There are no missable chests in the game, so as long as you're following the Neoseeker walkthrough I linked in the Road Map, you should be all set with this achievement. The only thing to mention is that the "Battle Chests" ARE required for the achievement, so if you see a mention of a chest that can show up during a fight, make sure you spend time in that area killing enemies until you find it, and use the "gimmick" to attack the chest until it opens.
If you somehow do not get the achievement once you collect the last chest in the final dungeon, there is unfortunately no way to figure out where in the game you've missed it without backtracking. You can use the video below to find all of them. If you think it might be a battle chest, the second video has all of those specifically. Battle Chest encounters can be repeated, and if the chest was collected already you'll see an open chest during the fight.

I got sick of having to juggle lots of tabs on my phone and struggling to keep track of the ridiculous amount of collectables in this game, while also discovering that some sources had a lot of missing, incomplete, hard to read and in some cases wrong information.
So I decided to do the reasonable thing and combine everything into a spreadsheet for all achievement-related collectables in this game. As always, this will be view only, so make a copy to your OneDrive and edit to your hearts content. I built the sheet for myself and will use this pretty exclusively to achieve 1000G - so if something is missing in there {and I don't have the achievement yet} please let me know. I will also be adding my own notes if I feel the information isn't enough.
The only one you will want to keep track of during your playthrough is the Recruits, as they'll help you for various things throughout the story, and having all recruits branches out into the other achievements (Card battles, Runes etc).
Once I've 1000G'd the game I'll edit this guide so that it's known that no further edits are planned.
If something isn't in this sheet, then it's because it either has a not-so-awkward check-list in game (Card Battles, Chests) and I felt that I didn't need it in the sheet, or it does not need a complete set to do and can just b done quickly (Hero Combos), or because I simply didn't know about it :)
As far as I know there are no missable collectables. It is recommended not to specifically go after most of these until you're far, far into the game, as a lot of the items can be picked up 'accidentally'. Additionally, some items I set the "Obtained" value to "HOLD" - these ones are technically possible to obtain fairly early in the game, but is strongly recommended to come back to it much later for various reasons (such as the recruit Dr Corque). For these I put an elaboration in the notes column.
Let me know if you have further suggestions. Otherwise, enjoy!

Achievement Specific Notes
- No chests are missable, so tackle this whenever you want. It will save you a tonne of time if you fill in the sheet as you play the game though.- Use this sheet together with the link below, so that you have a map of where the non-battle chests are.

Text guide (en) with all chests.
I will add that if you have lost one chest and you have already climbed the entire map and still can't find it, then check the chest in battle on the Great Forest - South map. There the chest contains a recipe that can be found in the game and so on, and this misleads many.
