How to unlock the Card Collector achievement in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes - Definitive Guide
To start getting cards you'll need to have the Castle, have recruited Glen, and built his shop. Once you've built the shop there's four additional upgrades you'll need to unlock for his shop, the last of which will require 16 Sacred Tree Chips.
There are 160 cards to unlock, three sets of each number for each suit that are all found in packs and an extra set of 7s that are received for beating a certain number of players for each rank at Glens shop.
10 C rank wins - Rising! (Yellow/Diamonds)
10 B rank wins - Forest Guardian (Green/Clubs)
10 A rank wins - Hero of the Empire (Blu/Spades)
5 S rank wins - Meddler Siblings (Red/Hearts)
For the packs, I suggest just buying the cheapest pack until you can open multiple in a row without getting a new card and then moving up to the next pack and doing the same and then repeat until you've gone through them all. After that, check the link below to a Gamer Guides page with all the cards and their probabilities per pack listed but the cards are listed by character/card name so you'll probably need to reference the full list of cards further down the page.

I got sick of having to juggle lots of tabs on my phone and struggling to keep track of the ridiculous amount of collectables in this game, while also discovering that some sources had a lot of missing, incomplete, hard to read and in some cases wrong information.
So I decided to do the reasonable thing and combine everything into a spreadsheet for all achievement-related collectables in this game. As always, this will be view only, so make a copy to your OneDrive and edit to your hearts content. I built the sheet for myself and will use this pretty exclusively to achieve 1000G - so if something is missing in there {and I don't have the achievement yet} please let me know. I will also be adding my own notes if I feel the information isn't enough.
The only one you will want to keep track of during your playthrough is the Recruits, as they'll help you for various things throughout the story, and having all recruits branches out into the other achievements (Card battles, Runes etc).
Once I've 1000G'd the game I'll edit this guide so that it's known that no further edits are planned.
If something isn't in this sheet, then it's because it either has a not-so-awkward check-list in game (Card Battles, Chests) and I felt that I didn't need it in the sheet, or it does not need a complete set to do and can just b done quickly (Hero Combos), or because I simply didn't know about it :)
As far as I know there are no missable collectables. It is recommended not to specifically go after most of these until you're far, far into the game, as a lot of the items can be picked up 'accidentally'. Additionally, some items I set the "Obtained" value to "HOLD" - these ones are technically possible to obtain fairly early in the game, but is strongly recommended to come back to it much later for various reasons (such as the recruit Dr Corque). For these I put an elaboration in the notes column.
Let me know if you have further suggestions. Otherwise, enjoy!

- When buying a card pack, if a received card is for a Hero you haven't met/recruited yet, you'll get a description instead (eg: "Fiery Spirit"). Search for a matching Power Up instead (Hearts - Power +9 when set if opponent's VP is higher than yours)
- Strongly recommend tackling an opponent regularly throughout the game as otherwise it'll be a huge slog doing it in one go. Start with C Ranks until you build your deck up and become more familiar with the game. Once you've bought enough packs to effectively replace 90% of your "No Skill" cards in your deck, you're ready to tackle A ranks and maybe S ranks.
- Some cards can only be obtained by beating 10 characters of the same rank.
- You cannot face an opponent if you haven't recruited them. If you've missed a recruit for whatever reason, then you won't be able to unlock the "Card Game Champ" achievement without a second playthrough.
- Without getting too spoilery, once you've won the battle in Hishahn, try to beat all of the opponents in the "A Rank" list as soon as you can (you still have plenty of time in the story at this point, so no immediate rush), as one of the characters there becomes unavailable after a certain point.
- Beaten opponents have a crown on the bottom right of their character icon. You can also sort the list by "No Wins" to group the beaten opponents together by clicking the Left Stick.

Achievement Specific Notes
- You can view your collected cards by visiting the stand in the 1st Floor of the Trade Center at HQ > View Cards. In the spreadsheet, the Card number is the place they are on the grid on this screen.- When buying a card pack, if a received card is for a Hero you haven't met/recruited yet, you'll get a description instead (eg: "Fiery Spirit"). Cards can start to be collected once you unlock the card packs for purchase in your town. Once you completely upgrade the town, you'll have four different packs and a Special pack, which has the highest odds of pulling rarer heroes. You can only earn a total of 156 out of 160 total cards by purchasing packs, with the final four cards coming from defeating a certain number of each tier of opponent. Work on Card Game Champ (10G) and you'll unlock the rest. The rarest card to pull from the packs is probably Leene. I was sat at 155 cards for about 30-40 packs before I finally got her, and once I had the best possible deck is when I started in on the other achievement for defeating all opponents, which awards the last four cards for this one.

We pump up the card shop to the maximum. We buy packs of cards (it doesn't matter which ones, but if there aren't enough simple cards, it's better to take cheap packs, if there aren't enough legendaries, then expensive ones).
The packs contain 156 cards, and the remaining 4 will be rewarded for the card battles themselves (7 sevens of max legendary).
