How to unlock the Fire Giant achievement in ELDEN RING - Definitive Guide
The fire giant is a mandatory boss in Elden Ring. You are required to defeat this boss to get to the Forge of The Giants. This boss is quite difficult. Before even bothering with this fight you would want to make sure you are close to level 100 with lots of health. I was 35 vitality at the time and one hit would take up to 3/4s of your health. Using Torrent is also not viable as the enemy is so large his snow bash and feet stomp would kill torrent almost instantly. The best way to beat this boss is to get Alexanders support! If you are following Alexanders quest line, once you enter the fog door from the northern most chain, a summon sign will show up within a few seconds. He is a TANK. By the end of the fight he still had 3/4 of his health and he was giving significant damage. You will want to follow this guide to get his support, while also using a summon of your choice. I used the mimic, but any summon should suffice as long as it has been upgraded.

Now, I never did Step 4 and he was shown at the lava area. I never had to get him loose or talk to him near the tower as I must have progressed a little too far past that point and the story lines must just skip.
Good luck!

not gonna lie this wasen't really a boss fight, kind of a test just to see how strong you are to progress to the next part of the game. Like how much damage you can do and how much you can withstand. The boss was kind of easy, just tickle its foot and boom hes dead. Second stage just torrent towards him all the time and get some swings, move back from the boss so you don't get 1 shot, and repeat. Good boss fight tho!

Maybe the game has become easier but when i unlocked this a year ago it was a pain in the ass and was for many people. Glad you found it easy though!

This boss can be found near the summit of the Mountaintop of the Giants beyond the Foot of the Forge grace site.
Let me start by saying that this boss hits hard. You will want to be fairly high level with plenty of Vigor at this point in the game. I was level 149 with 40 Vigor (yes, I did my fair share of level grinding) and this guy could easily 1 or 2-tap me with some of his attacks (especially fire). I equipped the Flamedrake Talisman +1 for extra fire damage negation.
Ideally you want to summon Alexander the pot gladiator. If you’ve progressed his quest far enough his summon sign will be just inside the boss door on the left. You will of course also want to use your own ashes. I was using a fully upgraded Mimic Tear.
This boss begins by digging his shield in the ground and sending a snow shockwave towards you that does big damage. Followed by a vertical shield slam that does a ton of hurt if he gets you with it.
To avoid this, try to make sure one of your AI companions has his attention early and run hard to the right after reaching the top of the small slope from the entrance.
You’re going to go the long way around and flank him before locking on to his legs and beelining for his unshackled ankle (his left, your right).
Once in close I’d recommend unlocking your targeting and lay in to this unshackled ankle for all you are worth. I was using a fully upgraded Bloodhound Fang. I was spamming jump attacks and charged attacks and unless he starts rolling around you should be done with his first phase quite quickly. If he rolls away, just keep your distance around the outside and sprint in to his ankle. All of his attack at this stage have a fairly predictable wind up and can be dodged with relative ease, you will however be punished for incorrect timing so prepare to have a few goes at this.
Once you’ve reduced him to below half health his second phase will start. He tears off his leg and gets real mad. Again you’re going to want to keep you distance initially and run hard to the right, flanking him whilst he spews out a pretty firework display of death. Once he’s done he will spend most of the rest of this fight rolling around. I found most success by going after his legs again and keeping close in to him as as much as possible. His rolls often missed me and his fire ball attacks can be easily ran away from or will likely focus on your AI partners anyway. Keep wailing on his thighs, and dodging away when he starts rolling.
He will periodically set fire to the floor and you don’t want to get hit by this as it can basically 1-shot you. If you’re in close you might get lucky avoiding damage but try to orient yourself behind him as running away will be tricky. If he downs you, do not rush to get back up, let the animation play out a bit before jumping to your feet.
Good luck.

Location: Mountaintops of the Giants
Suggested Level Range: 85-95
Damage Types: Strike, Fire
Weakest To: Slash
Drops: 180,000 Runes, Remembrance of the Fire Giant
The Fire Giant has two phases within the same health bar, the first phase he tries to hit you with a large plate and his weakspot is the wounded left leg, hit the wrappings until it breaks revealing the wound. Once you break the wrapping he will pause for a bit which lets you get in free damage, however afterwards the Fire Giant will start to roll away more.
Once the Fire Giant is at about 50% HP it will move into phase 2, the weakspots will turn to the wrists of his arms and the large eye in the middle of the chest. This is a good time to use Torrent to get behind the fire giant until it staggers so you can get a critical hit on the eye in the chest. You don't want to try to hit the wrists as it is quite dangerous to be near his hands.

At the top of the arena there is a small rock protruding from the ground. We lure the boss there, wait for some time at the other end of the available space. At some point, the boss will get close to the edge, after which we get closer and dodge a couple of blows. The boss will fall off the cliff, receiving enough damage to enter the second phase. We do the same thing again, and the giant is defeated.

I’ll add that after my second fall he survived and I had to throw him off 3 times, I advise you to sit down behind a stone at 2 and 3 so that he doesn’t kill you with fireballs if you have little HP
