How to unlock the Magma Wyrm Makar achievement in ELDEN RING - Definitive Guide

Magma Wyrm Makar is an optional boss located in Ruin-Strewn Precipice. This area is a route to Altus Plateur if you don't want to grab the two pieces of the Dectus Medallion for the Grand Lift of Dectus. North of this lift is a river, and just before the river ends there is a village with ladders leading up to the ruin-strewn precipice.

The boss itself isn't as hard as some of the ones you probably defeated in order to get to this point. Any fire resistance items you have should help but I didn't use any and still got through this fight. It uses a sword, breathes fire and leaves a trail of fire behind it as it moves. You can use the large pillar in the arena to avoid these attacks easily. Simply run around it and once an attack finishes, use your window of opportunity to deal damage.

Here's a video which uses the cheese method I'm talking about if you need it. It's not mine so credit to Herculez.

The reward for beating Magma Wyrm Makar is 18,000 runes, the sword it was using and a dragon heart.

There's also an NPC summon outside the door if you need to get some preassure off of you.

As of right now this seems a bit broken. Did this for my cousin and I and didn't pop for either of us.

Achievement popped without any issue for me tonight. Used the gold summon and I'm playing on the Series X.

Optional

Location: Liurna - Ruin-Strewn Precipice
Suggested Level Range: 40-50
Damage Types: Slash, Strike, Fire
Weakest To: Standard, Strike, Pierce
Drops: 24,000 Runes, Magma Wyrm's Scalesword, Dragon Heart

You may have already fought a similar boss in Gael Tunnel on the border of Limgrave and Caelid, but this specific Magma Wyrm is on the only path up to Altus Plateau if you don't have both the halves of the Medalian to use the Greatlift.

The Magma Wyrm enemy's weakness is its head. You can get up close and strike it in the head whenever you have openings, dodging through the sword and moving out of the way when it goes to spew lava. Once it reaches about 60% HP it will stand up on its hind legs and imbue the sword with fire, making the head harder to hit.

The Magma Wyrm does not have very many moves that can attack behind it, so if you can get behind it and strike at the tail you will be safer. When it turns around back up and try to get behind it again when it is in another one of its attack animations.

Boss in the "Ruin-Strewn Cliff" location, entrance to the Gorge-Shrouded Village. Before entering, you can summon an NPC who is very good at dealing damage and distracting the boss. Boss crawling magma dragon. You can stay under it or throw it along the tail. In the second phase, it begins to spit magma - which also does not cause any special problems.

The boss is sooooo slow. It can be easily soloed if you stay close to the head and hit it directly. In the second phase, we simply fuss under our belts. When damage accumulates, we can carry out a serious riposte.

As they write above, you can’t stand under the belly for long, he raises his weapon and hits with wild AoE, stay in the ass/tail area, there’s enough roll there

There is an easier option on how to kill this boss. In the center of the location there is one huge column that does not fall apart under the blows of this snake. And it also protects well from its magma.
While running around this column, try to hit its tail. I passed using a rapier, which is given by the NPC in the “round table”.
