How to unlock the Mimic Tear achievement in ELDEN RING - Definitive Guide
There are two main steps to get to this boss battle;
1. Beat Starscourge Radahn in Caelid battlegrounds behind Redmane Castle. Good luck with this since you will definitely need it.
2. After beating Radahn and watching the cutscene, you have to locate the starfalls location. The location itself is located in Limgrave west of Fort Haight West Grace point. You will see a huge crater and floating rocks. Head towards to the crater center and eventually you will find a cave entrance. Once you have passed though the cave entrance you will enter Nokron, Eternal City. While there navigate some rooftops, kill some enemies and eventually you will find yourself a Grace checkpoint. After the Grace checpoint you will enter to a plaza, find some stairs after exploring and descent them. After that you will enter another plaza and you will see the mist gate.
The boss fight himself;
Very easy boss to beat since this is basically copy of yourself. It uses the same equipment and skills that you have on once you enter to this bosses room. The twist is that you can either enter to this room butt naked and equip all our gears once the battle is started and it is copied yourself or just switch to different weapon on inventory menu in mid battle. Any spirit companions are plus for this battle, even for any distraction purposes.

So you can walk in naked and unarmed, then equip gear and he will be naked and unarmed?

@beastman rules Yes, this boss will copy your loadout that you have equipped before going though the fog door.

Here's my video guide. I'll walk you through exactly where to go.
Optional
Location: Nokron, Eternal City
Suggested Level Range: 70-80
Damage Types: Whatever you use
Weakest To: Lightning
Drops: 10,000 Runes, Larval Tear x2, Silver Tear Mask
Mimic Tear is not a hard boss but it is different than all the other bosses in the game, as it becomes a copy of you and what you are currently wielding. It is basically like fighting another player or NPC invader in terms of how it moves and attacks. Knowing that it copies your weapons, one way to deal with it easily is to unequip your weapons and spells. The Mimic Tear will now only have fists when it spawns. Then, re-equip your regular weapons and spells to fight it. Doing this will not allow the Mimic Tear to have any weapons as the loadout is based on your loadout when you enter the arena.

Your double. Uses all the moves and magic that you do.
Doesn't cause any problems. He's stupid. Catch it on the jump. You move away from him and wait for him to start closing the distance. Jump kick, then a couple of light swings if you have enough stamina

It is easy to kill if you remove your armor and weapons before the fight.
