How to unlock the Veteran achievement in Elemental Monster: Online Card Game - Definitive Guide
This trophy is for beating 11-1, which has you do 100 rounds against random decks. Much like a regular three round match you get to choose what deck you want to use however unlike a regular three round match if you lose even a single round you will have to start all over again. So to save you a lot of trouble after every round you should select "Suspend" and then hit "Yes". Doing this will save what round you're on and send you back to the map menu. Now if you're ever about to lose a battle quit out of the game to the XMB by pressing the button and you can start up again at whatever round you last suspended on.
Here's a good deck that should help you to complete this:
- Jewel Color: Red
- Formation: Split
- Top: Gladiator, Paintman Green
- Flip: Flame Knight, Power Antares
Always start the match by summoning Gladiator. Keep using Evil Slash (unless your opponent is green then obviously use Crimson) as you should be able to get two hits or possibly three and least likely four hits. Then Flame Knight will flip and deal 15 splash damage to your opponents active monster. Summon Flame Knight and clean up the monster that killed off Gladiator. Now depending on what your opponent has you may want to consider using your Paintman Green's SP skill. What that will do is turn your opponents active creature green and kill off your Paintman so your Flame Knight can do 50 damage but if you can hold up on using Paintman till you have seven mana then you can also get a five attack boost from the card he flips to and do a total of 60 damage. Then simply clean up with Power Antares if Flame Knight goes down. If Flame Knight does die before you can use Paintman, simply either use Headbutt and then have him kill himself or just have him kill himself judging by whatever you believe to be the best option and then proceed to clean up with Power Antares.
To make it a little easier when finding these card in your collection for you deck Flame Knight is a red common card, Paintman Green is a green common card and both Gladiator and Power Antares are uncommon red cards. In place of Power Antares you could also use the uncommon black Anubis or the uncommon white Gohen Ultra (regular Gohen is also a possibility but Ultra or either of the two other cards is definitely preferred). If you played in any tournaments in multiplayer and managed to unlock the Super Rare card Evil-eyed Gladiator he easily trumps all of these other card for that fourth spot. Regardless of whom you choose the strategy pretty much stays the same.
