these are the purple monsters in the game, the alien invaders. I believe any skyands count both the monsters and humanoids. this is almost unmissable as the end game you face ALOT of skyands.

No, beasts (skyanids) do not count, only the humanoid ones that can switch to guns (Agitators and Curators) are Skyands. I'm also pretty certain you must be the one to deal the killing blow.

Skyands are the white and purple alien enemies that you will encounter throughout the game. You'll kill well more than the 20 required for this achievement.
