There are symbols next to the gangsters.
Gun - Hired gun is your basic gangster.
Bag - Doctors give you a bonus to healing and also can heal units
Brass Knuckles - Enforcers tend to be good at melee but also do quite a bit of damage.
Head with a hat - Con Artists have extra attacks like throwing axes, daggers and using poison.
Bomb - Demolitionists are capable of using explosives (of many types) and are very useful for crowd control.
Hire at least one of each, you should be able to hire 10 max so should be easy, and the achievement will pop.
