Just a heads up, if you are attempting this achievement and switch to W10 or the One in the process it may glitch you out of the cheevo. I unlocked the robot on W10 then switched to xbox and the achievement did not pop, however I am able to play as the robot.

The win10 version is not live enabled, therefore you cannot unlock achievements on it.

After the shortcut to the second floor has been unlocked, refer to this guide to learn how a television set will spawn in the elevator shaft where Tailor used to be
You must ferry the Busted Television all the way to the Blacksmith in the Forge, the fifth floor.
The caveat here being rolling drops the TV and the Resourceful Rat can steal the TV if you forget it, so this isn't such an easy task, especially considering the room in the Forge with the Dead Blow and lava pits. Pressing the item use button throws the TV which is the main way to get it over gaps. This can be alleviated by getting an item that grants flight such as the Jetpack or Waxwings. You can also leave the TV in the elevator shaft until after the second floor boss is defeated, then pick it up for the first time, but this probably only works on the second floor, i cannot confirm if it works on later floors.
Once you have delivered the TV to the Blacksmith, the Robot will be unlocked.
