How to unlock the Hedge Slinger achievement in Enter The Gungeon - Definitive Guide

The Gunsling King is one of the NPC's you free from the Gungeon when you free him from his cell using the cell key. He can then be found randomly on subsequent runs.

When you find him and speak to him, he will offer you a wager to clear out the marked room with one of the following criteria:

• Complete the the room without dodge rolling
• Complete the room without taking damage
• Complete the room with a certain gun given to you by him.

You will have to pay usually between 18 and 21 credits to take on the bet, but you will get these back plus a random gun or item if you complete it.

Jut win 5 of these wagers (they don't have to be on the same run) and the achievement is yours.

I've completed the king's challenge more times than I can remember and have not received the achievement. Any tips would be appreciated.

Lightly buggy.

This one didn't pop for me on completion of the wager. It popped the next new run I started after the console had been turned off (no standby mode).

I did about 10 of these and only realised they count if you talk to the manservant afterwards to get the reward.
If you just talk to the King after it doesnt count.

After rescuing the Gunsling King and Manservantes from a cell in Chamber 2: The Gungeon Proper, you will sometimes see them in the Gungeon where they will bet you that you can't complete a challenge. If you complete the challenge you get the money you bet back, plus a gun or item.

There are three types of challenges:

1. Complete the room without taking damage
2. Complete the room without dodge rolling (also cannot use Bloodied Scarf)
3. Complete the room only using the given gun (Gunsling King will give you Casey, Derringer, Klobbe, Nail Gun, or Pea Shooter for the challenge)

Complete 5 challenges for the trophy.

After being released from prison, he will appear at the levels from time to time and asks you to bet that you will pass the next room with a certain condition. As a reward, he returns the money and gives the item. Nothing difficult.
