You must first acquire the Shotgun itself. This can be found a few chapters into the game when you are entering the "Geopharm Labs". A certain character will save you and then drop a shotgun; make sure you pick it up.
After that you just need close range kills with the shotgun. You will know when it counts because the game will slow down. Try and get kills at point blank range to maximise the chance of the kill counting.
It is also worth noting that the kills do carry onto NG+

It seems that the
doesn´t count.
I´ve tried it today in two different spots and still wait for the cheevo. Have to try it in my second playthrough.

Simply enough, just kill 10 zombies at closerange with the shotgun. Headshots will take out the weaker zombies in one shot at close range.
