Escape Dead Island

Butchers are the most annoying zombie types you will encounter through the game. They can take a great amount of damage before they are killed.

Few ways to kill a Butcher:

One Vs. One - You can take the Butcher on a 1v1, and this will take a while. The game will automatically force you to fight the Butcher head on. Shooting it with the pistol or shotgun will not work again the Butcher as they will block the shoots. The technic that should be used when fighting a Butcher head on is hit the Butcher once with your axe or katana. After striking, quickly tap to dash back, the Butcher will use a tornado like attack that will inflect lots of damage which can be fatal. After the Butcher will run at you and pounce, simply tap and dodge to the left or right. If avoided successfully, quickly strike the Butcher with a few hits and dash back again. Rinse and repeat till the Butcher is killed.

If you would like to make the 1v1 battles a little quicker. After striking the Butcher once. Jump back and wait till he preforms his tornado spin attack. Quickly go in and you'll be able to land 3-4 more hits. There is a chance of getting hit, but you'll survive. Rinse and repeat till the Butcher is dead.

The Butcher will gain its health back if he lands a hit on you or if he is not getting attacked.

Stealth Kill - Recommend killing Butchers with a stealth kill when available. Its the quickest and painless way to kill a Butcher. Sneak around the Butcher and press while crouching. If you get spotted, quickly run away and hit until his awareness is down before trying another stealth takedown.

Environmental Kill - If a Butcher is near a red explosive barrel, shoot it and it should kill the Butcher.


*Minor Spoiler* Something to add.. At the end of the game you'll have to go against a number of shadow Butcher and shadow Bouncers. Lure them to the edge of the map, and when they jump towards you they will fall off the map and die.
