The five scions are unlocked by playing through the tutorial campaign.
There is one of each color:
Blue/Primal: Eilyn, Queen of the Wilds
Purple/Shadow: Vara, Fate Touched
Red/Fire: Kaleb, Uncrowned Prince
Yellow/Time: Talir, Who Sees Beyond
Green/Justice: Rolant, the Iron Fist
This achievement requires playing each scion once in a game. You must then complete the game (win or lose) for it to count. The easiest way to do this would be to create mono color decks with each scion and stall out against the first gauntlet opponent until you draw and can then play the scion.
There is one of each color:

I know I've played all 5 multiple times in gauntlet (and in one sitting), but have yet to unlock this. I'm not sure whether this now requires the 6th one or to be done in PvP, but if not, I don't know why it isn't working. If I figure it out, I'll update this.

They changed the scions that are rewarded with the tutorial. You now have to craft the ones mentioned above.

There's a big missundertanding with that one ;)
There's ONE Scion card in each deck (look for the unit that costs the most), and in order to get the achievement, you need to put everyone of them on the battlefield ;)
This is how I did it :
By chance, at the end of the campaign / tutorial, I managed to play one of the scions already.
So I created a multicolor deck with all the remaining 4 colors, including only cheap cards (3 max) and of course the Scions.
Then I went to the Gauntlet, and waited until the Scions came in my hand.
On the first game, you should be able to play at least two Scions (be patient and stay on defense). At some point, finish the game and edit your deck to get rid of the colors that you don't need anymore.
It took me 2 games to get the achievement.
