Eternal Card Game

This achievement doesn't specify a card in the Trials of Grodov expansion, but I am unsure if the achievement can be unlocked without having purchased it. The expansion costs 25,000 gold or 1,000 gems ($10).

I built a Green Purple Blue deck and stalled against the first Gauntlet opponent until I was able to get out a Direfang Spider. I used Blood Hunt on it and used the Killer abilty to kill an enemy unit, but I couldn't get the Gauntlet AI to play units with 7 or more strength so I had to pump their weak units with Finest Hour to satisfy the requirement. The achievement popped at the end of the match.
