How to unlock the Die Please Die achievement in Europa Universalis IV - Definitive Guide
The easiest way to do this is to grab to password for the old Steam branches and switch to Patch 1.22.2
Patch 1.22.2:
Choose to play as the Timurids. The ruler is 67, so it's quick to get to 70.
Go to Speed 5 and wait until your ruler gets to 70.
Don't make your ruler into a general as he will die sooner.
Later patches:
Pick England or Castile.
Go to Speed 5 and wait until your ruler gets to 70.
Don't make your ruler into a general as he will die sooner.
If he dies before 70, restart your game.
This should take 5-10 minutes. One of the easiest achievements in the game.

Easiest way to unlock this one:
Play as Timurids!
Current ruler is 1-1-1 and 55 y.o.
And Heir is 1-1-1 and 50 y.o.
Just play as you want through years (just avoid to make your ruler/heir as an army general), and hope for your ruler and/or your heir to not die! One of them have to reach 70 y.o. and achievement will pop.
I earned this achievement on my 2nd playthrough.

if your king dies before getting the achievement simply exit and reload the backup save. this will force you to replay a little but the king might not die this time. Rinse and repeat until the king lives long enough. I did this as Castile with a 0-0-0 heir who became king.
if your really unlucky go into your save folder and clean it up and shorten the save files names ones in a while. So you do really have as many saves as you want in this game not one as the game claim. it's just a bit more manual work.
