No shields, I know :)
While working on thisachievement I foud myself often withoiuth shield anyway. One or two shots from sniper drones and they'r gone.
SH-8495 gives you 10% chance to ignore damage per enemy within 800m and stacks 6 times. That's 60% chance, on top of that you ignore damage from Play it Safe perk while you cycle through your offensive devices. Anmd some of that incoming damage will be soaked up by your drones. It worked better than expected but you have to be in the middle of the fight so there are at least 6 enemies in range for this shield to work.
Always cycle through your offensive devices, something I often forgot. Even if you were forced to take EMP Resistance Rift use EMP Generator as it will give you charges from Play it Safe.
When in trouble and enemies are eating you up boost out and repair.
Always keep your drones at max and repair them by picking up enemy wrecks. Those drones do a lot of damage and they will fight on their own until you use ULT to focus fire. And you should do that as often as possible but remember to taget enemies that are close and in range of the drones.
After your ult ends Overkill perk will activate giving you increase damage that ignores armor and shield. Use it to take down heavily armored targets.
Ult generates really quickly in this build so don't save it for later.

Where is SH 8495 shield? I have a diff legendary shield but not that one. Hoping I didnt break it down at some point. My bigger issue is dps output. I mirrored your build except for the passives bc after multiple attempts I couldnt get that variant of the ship to show up at Kato. But all my weapons are essentially the same as your build yet the rift always ends in phase 1, I think because I'm not killing enemies fast enough (resolve gets to 0 and progress is only at 40% or so).

I got this while on Very Easy difficulty mode so I think that helps. I used most of the above solution, except that my flak and missiles were half as powerful, I had a normal shield, and I was using the Devotion legendary weapon (powerful gun that uses up a little ult charge to fire). With everything else in the build being built towards a fast ult charge, I only popped the ult itself a few times, mostly using charge for firing the Devotion. Even so, my shield was barely ever completely gone, and I never lost my armor throughout the whole thing. I often forgot to use my devices and I only used three energy boost items.
TLDR: try this on very easy mode, I think it makes it a lot easier!
