How to unlock the The Catalyst Catalog achievement in EVERSPACE 2 - Definitive Guide

Calatslyst blueprints must be collected from the "high-risk area" areas. You have to unlock these by buying or finding the activation keys.

This unlocked for me when I had
Common: 3
Uncommon: 8
Rare: 5
Superior: 2

These areas can be tough depending on your gear and play style.
If you are having trouble you can knock the game down to easy (but I think difficulty level may effect loot drop rarity, I am not sure if that matters in this case)

After a recent patch, there are now 22 catalyst blueprint. While I didn't get it at 18 after the patch. It might unlock at 22. Will update if so.

It unlocked as you would expect it to on pick up of the 22nd Catalyst. I haven't had any issues with achievements other than a couple of story ones popping a bit slow.

How long did it take you to get there? Considering another playthrough to get it done...

I've got about 50 hours in it but that's with exploring most locations, doing side missions and generally taking my time. I don't know if the rarity of item drops is linked to level or story progression but I could see a speed run on very easy being just a few hours to complete. It would then be a case of if the superior decoders actually drop or if you need to grind some levels.

With the update, you need all new 22 catalysts for this to unlock.

Starting from scratch, you need a bit more than 6 hours to get all catalysts, if you know what you are doing.
