How to unlock the Gooey Mess achievement in EVERSPACE - Definitive Guide

To get this achievement you first must buy the Blueprint for the Goo Gun from Throng for 50 Viridian Energy.

When you have the Blueprint and the required resources to build the weapon you must find one of the green goo lifeforms that lives on the big asteroids with holes in them.
Then you just simply shoot them with the Goo Gun until they burst.

Sadly this seems to be bugged on my game and doesn't unlock... the first time I did it I used an enhanced goo gun (maybe that bugged it?) and after that I've tried multiple times on multiple runs and have had no luck unlocking it... I'll try some times more on other runs and report back.

EDIT: 5 hours later I finished everything and this is my only achievement missing... I tried with every single ship but the achievement didn't pop... tried uninstalling, reinstalling, doing a full shutdown of my xbox, deleting saves and resyncing everything and no dice. The only thing that's left to try is resetting the whole game but I simply won't do that... too much time would be wasted starting from scratch again... I'll just leave it there, maybe some other time I'll 100% it.

You will see these amorphous, jelly-like creatures on larger asteroids (those you can navigate tunnels through) or hear their squelching movement. In an early mission by Throng, you will need to scan these too. To feed them, collect or craft a Goo Gun (using blueprint and resources) and then fire a stream of the weapon at the creature until the desired effect occurs.

From Frong you need to buy a drawing of a Mass cannon, which just shoots green slime. Collect weapons and shoot the green goo crawling on large asteroids until it bursts.

The slime usually lives on large asteroids that have a passage into them.
