How to unlock the Hand Shake achievement in Evil Dead: The Game - Definitive Guide
This achievement/trophy is for scaring a survivor with Ash’s hands by using a trap on a loot chest.
When playing the demon, you will have the option to place a scare trap on a loot chest after you absorb enough infernal energy (red glowing balls all over the map), and one of the two options you can place as a trap is the ash hands. Your press to cycle between the two options, and hold to arm the trap.
Here’s the strategy I’ve used and I got this without trying:
1) collect infernal energy to be able to place a trap
2) find the survivors, which at the beginning of the match you can’t see them unless they’re driving a car or making lots of noise. Once they do that, they will appear on your mini map. Go to them.
It also seems like they spawn somewhat close to the dagger and book page at the beginning of the round.
3) once you find them, follow them until they reach an area with homes or structures. Usually loot boxes are around those.
4) try and arm one that’s in an obvious location like outside against a shed, or inside a home against a wall not obstructed by shelves or furniture.
It may take some time, but I actually didn’t know this was an achievement until I unlocked it, so it shouldn’t be too difficult.
Good luck!

This trophy is earned as the Kandarian Demon.
When playing as the demon, the most common way you are going to scare and summon enemies is through traps you place throughout the map by holding when near the trap marker. You can also place traps in chests that Survivors open. When placing a trap in a chest, make sure you are placing Ash's Hand when you set the trap. Then, the trophy will pop when a survivor opens the chest. A good way to do this is if you are battling survivors in an area, and you find a nearby chest, try to put a trap in it before they can find/open it. Chances are that they will open it anyway and net you the trophy.
