The easiest way to get this is by playing Ash from Evil Dead 2 (Hunter class Ash).
His special
ability is to exorcise the demon from from any survivor or basic unit. There's a 60 second cooldown on the ability so it'll take a couple of matches.
Whenever a boss possesses a survivor teammate, hit near them. This counts as freeing them, and no fighting involved.

For this trophy, you need to land the final blow that frees them from possession. This will come with time since fear is commonly raised from demon actions so survivors will no doubt get possessed at some point in matches.
