I found this easiest to do in solo mode, but some are reporting that it’s sometimes not unlocking in solo. It may be best to do a matchmade game.

The hardest part of this achievement is finding a legendary weapon, but I have tested a method about 5x now playing solo, and so far I have found a legendary item in this location every time. The location is Bronson Cave. If you go there, there usually is a legendary crate laying around the cave. This may be a coincidence! I don’t think it is though, at least in solo mode.
Once you have a legendary, use it to kill every deadite you see, and after 50 kills, the achievement is yours.

Achievements not appear to track in solar mode, and I just did half a dozen runs with not a single legendary weapon

This achievement can be done during missions. Mission 1 is probably the easiest as you get a legendary chainsaw and legendary shotgun in Payne manor. Just grab them and start killing until it pops
