The Parasiter is the boss fight at the end of chapter 7 Smoke and Mirrors. This will be very difficult if you are playing on evil difficulty on your first playthrough as you will be quite underpowered from not having enough upgrades and perks.
Some recommended perks - On the spot, Vital Superpowers, Death Defied, Life support.
The fight spans over three phases and has no checkpoints so if you die you will have to start at the beginning of the fight. The Parasiter will have two tentacles, they will both spit poison balls that can be interrupted before they fire by shooting the weak spot with your rifle. When either tentacle is on the ground for a few seconds land a few Gauntlet punches. When both tentacles are finished, hit the weak spots in the Parasiter’s mouth, then the Parasiter will bash the tree and drop rocks from above. Tilt your camera so that you have a top-down view of the area and avoid standing in the red circles.
The second phase plays very similar to the first but the Parasiter will also drop an egg of infected wasters that run at you. Destroy the egg if you can so that they don’t hatch, make sure you keep your distance from them and either let the tentacles kill them or shoot them with your rifle. In the final phase the Parasiter will also slam the tree and drop debris during the fight. Use the same strategy that you used earlier to avoid the danger zones.

The boss is quite easy even on Evil difficulty. It took me 8 attempts on my first playthrough to kill the boss on Evil. Just learn the patterns and the moveset.
First phase: One of the arms will try to attack you while the other is on standby and sometimes spits at you. The arms that attacks will attack between 1-3 times and then get stuck on the ground. When it's stuck there is your chance to deal some damage. Hit it a few times and shoot it with your shotgun. Remember to back away after a few hits because when the arm is returning it will do some damage if you are too close. Also the standby arm might attack or your spit on you BEFORE the other has returned. If you hit them in the mouth before they spit they will be stunned and drop an healing item. When one of the worms go down the boss will start puking at you, just run around in the arena in big circle. When the second arm is down you can shoot the boss in his mouth, there are two targets here. When you hit both of them the boss will rage and start headbutting the tree. Rocks will fall down from the sky so just try to avoid these and then the second phase will start.
Second phase: What's different here is that sometimes the boss will spawn an egg in the middle, the egg will spawn three yellow suiciders (there is an achievement to not kill any of the suiciders yourself). You can either destroy the egg yourself or let the boss destroy it for you. The egg will also drop a healing item. Do what you did before, dodge - hit - shoot - repeat.
Third phase: What's different here is that the boss might spawn two eggs, one in each corner. You can dash between these two so it gets faster for you to get there. The boss will also rage sometimes and throw rocks at your from the sky. Also the arms may attack you at the same time now but not while one is stuck on the ground.
You can also stun the arms by using the "Y" skill.

The Parasiter is the boss Monster in Chapter 7, "Smoke and Mirrors." This boss fight is divided into three stages.
Stage 1: Two leech heads attack while the giant leech-like monster mouth is closed. One Leech will charge to range attack leaving an opening for a weak spot, but the other will attack you from above. Dodge the ranged attack, wait for the other to get stuck on the ground from the stomp attack, and hit it with melee or your ranged weapon. After you defeat both leeches, the Parasiter will open its mouth for an opportunity to hit both weak spots. The Parasiter will then start hitting the walls for rocks to fall from above. A simple way to avoid this is to keep moving left and right as the rocks fall symmetrically, so stand still and go left, and when the other rock comes at you, then go right.
Stage 2: Similar to stage 1, the Parasiter releases a cocoon that unleashes infected wasters that explodes nearby. You can shoot the cocoon before it hatches or make the leeches headshot them for you by standing behind them when they charge for a ranged attack. Defeat both leeches and shoot the weak spots in the open mouth again.
Stage 3: It is again the same, but this time, in addition to the two leech heads, the cocoon spawns, and the parasiter keeps hitting the walls for rocks to fall as you defeat both leech heads.
Alternatively, a quick boost is to use the crippling rod and attack the leech heads instead of waiting for them to attack, but It is best to use it in Stage 3 to kill them quickly amid the rocks falling and exploding infected wasters.
