Just a head's up: When you get a kill with each weapon, the tracker will increase, when you've reached the 30 kills with one weapon, it will stop increasing the tracker.

Death Ray’s unlocked in Chapter 15; you could very much unlock this without entering NG+ (the second arena in Chapter 16 is set up pretty well for grinding Death Ray kills out as a matter of fact).
