How to unlock the Got High on Sojournus achievement in Exo One - Definitive Guide

This achivement can be a tad difficult to unlock. It took me many tries before coming down to sheer luck before popping.

Essentially you have to time your craft to drop using the right trigger to supersonic speed and hit a valley just right so that you arc down and up out of the valley. Using the left trigger to glide as soon as you come out of it, jumping once and holding to glide as high as possible.

Mine didn't pop until I got super high and then dropped supersonic out of frustration, hitting a valley perfectly and sending me to the moon at supersonic speed. Good luck

Not sure why Xzil got down voted. This is exactly how you do it. Salty people lol.

Hit a hill at sound barrier speed and you'll get it.

Maybe people downvote because this isn't an "easy" solution. Not a good reason to downvote in my opinion, but I think that's how it works.

I was able to get this achievement to pop on the next level ( Sojournus XIII) instead of toying around with the gravity pull of the planets. I had messed up hit the monolith that sent me to the next level ( Sojournus XIII) and when you get all your abilities back I just shot up as high into the sky thinking there was a height achievement for that level too and I ended up getting it

Hate how glitchy and inconsistent these height achievements are. I've been flying above the clouds for minutes now and this just will not unlock.

Yep, restarted the entire level, got above the clouds one time and it unlocked. So inconsistent.

I found a good way to keep gaining height in the green clouds. So once you get the speedboost to get up to the green clouds, instead of gliding straight up, go in a circle and you will continue to gain momentum from the speedboost and get a lot higher. After I discovered this, I got it immediately hope this helps

I agree with Earthbound. The achievement should pop at 2300 for Y. I've gone as far as 2550 and no achievement. I restarted and only got to 2350.459 and got the achievement. If it isnt popping just restart.

Very glitchy indeed, just keep on restarting the level when you’re not getting it after having been above 2300 and it will eventually pop. I got it after about 8 restarts straight after getting above 2300.

You can only use the gravity pull at the start of this board. Use it to get speed and make big jumps into the air.

As you’re jumping up early on in the board, once you get high enough you’ll get hit by a lightning strike. Once this happens you’ll have control of the ship. Start looking for a crater with water below you as you’re gliding. When you see one, use the gravity to pull down into the crater to gain a lot of speed and switch to glide in the water to zoom out the other side up the other side of the crater to get really high in the air. Once you get high enough use the green clouds to keep ascending higher. Look for and move towards the higher green clouds as you’re going up. You’ll eventually get high enough to where no green clouds will be around and the achievement should pop. Jump if you start losing momentum to get a little extra height if needed.

Once the achievement pops, dive down into supersonic speed and start gliding in the green clouds again to knock out the supersonic speed achievement as well.
