I think the developers may have patched this achievement as I was able to unlock both leaderboard achievements on one end-level screen. It is now very easy to do the leaderboard achievements with two accounts that have never played the game before. Online leaderboards must be turned on. Difficulty does not matter, I did it on easy. I also made sure to have a WiFi connection as data would not upload my scores for some reason.

1.) Have main account score approximately 15,000 points and then let the game run by itself until you die. This should put you in first place on the leaderboard.

2.) Wait until you see your main account’s score on the second account’s leaderboards and score approximately 20,000 points and let the game run until you die. This should put the second account in first place and the main account in second place.

3.) Wait until you see the second account on the leaderboard. Continue the game and score approximately 25,000 points and die again. This should put the main account in first place on the leaderboard.

4.) Continue and finish the first level, both leaderboard achievements should pop on the post-level statistics.

5.) I was using a dummy account so I didn’t bother trying to get the achievements on that account, so I am not sure how to trade with another person. However, I believe if the second account passes the first account’s score on the second level and dies, then continues and finishes the second level, the achievements should pop.

I am confused about the use of a dummy account. Does it have to be on the same device? If it is simply a friends list issue, I should have friends on the leaderboards already, but they are not there. What would make a dummy account appear on the leaderboards?

And do I have to purchase the game a second time? Or does the same leaderboard cross between platforms? Sorry for all the questions, but this achievement is kinda pissing me off now.

I used a dummy account because I didn't have any friends who had this game. I heard that the scores leave the leaderboards after awhile but I can't confirm this. If you have a friend who has this game have them upload a score and see what happens. It did take some time for the score to appear on my main account's leaderboard, probably 15-20 minutes, and it would only work for me on WiFi.

You might have to accept their friend request on the 360 though (Xbox One follower system may not work)

If you have two WP10 then you only need to buy the game once. You can login multiple accounts in the WP10 store, so basically the dummy account can share all the games from the main account for free.

I helped someone with this achievement with my dummy account and this is what they said worked for them "I uninstalled and reinstalled. my score of 748k was on top your score of 315k in second. I went all way to death canyon. 1 died. Continued beat the boss in death canyon abd made top of leaderboard popped. So I think you,can best yourself on leaderboards."

Basically I would try to keep the score as low as possible just in case it doesn't unlock the first try. What I wrote in the solution worked for me twice on the first attempt for both of the versions, so I would try my solution first.

Sweet, thanks. I have a second phone, so I will give that a try. I am just trying to avoid paying for this game twice.

I’m getting an error that doesn’t let me post my score even though I’m on WiFi. Sure enough I press cancel after retrying to post the score a ton and the score gets posted but no achievements. Great

This achievement is a pain, and should be worked on before you do anything else in the game, for reasons that will become clear below. You need to ensure the online leaderboards are set to “On”. The description doesn’t explain the requirements very well at all, what you actually need to be is top of the online leaderboard, above all of your friends. The scores have to be fresh scores, too, so no going back to levels and doing them again. However, you can’t just land there, you have to be second (or lower) first, and overtake a friend.

You will need a willing friend who has the game and not really played it, or a dummy account on Windows (see THIS link for how to do this without having to buy the game again).

Follow the steps below on how to do this.

1. Start the game with your main account, getting a relatively low score on the first level (10-15k), then let yourself die. This should put you in first.

2. Start the game with your second account (or liaise with your friend) and wait until you see your main account’s score on the leaderboards. One you see this, start the game and score more than your main account, before letting yourself die. This should put your dummy account or friend in first.

3. Do the same with your main account, then outscore your dummy/friend, putting you in first position.

4. Finish the level, and your leaderboard achievement should unlock.

This can be done later on, but if you are trying to do this once you have already played through the game as the scores carry on through the levels, so you may have to play through the whole game a few times for this.
