How to unlock the Dream Score achievement in F.E.A.R. 3 - Definitive Guide
I recommend doing this on the hardest difficulty you can, since there wont be too many enemies and the boss isn't any harder. And you will net some more points for the bigger difficulty.
First off, Don't run through the level as fast as you can. The time score bonus isn't worth that much. You should also be playing as point man, as I found him to be the easiest to get this achievement with since you can slow down time.
In almost every room there is a Psychic Link to be made, but there not always in the same spot, as I have found when I played through multiple times. The only time I found a guarantee was when I first started there was a body behind me.
There is also a Alma Doll on this level. It too jumps around to a few locations. The most common spot I found it in was the observation room in the far back, behind the chairs.
When fighting the boss, Avoid all incoming attacks the best you can. Try not to get hit at all for some big bonus's and try to shoot him every chance you get. Don't worry about getting hit by the enemies he spawns as they wont stop your bonus, it only affects the boss's attacks. Take your time with the soldiers he spawns. Go for head shots and slow mo kills while trying to do simple things like drain your slow mo 3 times. All these add up the bonus's you will need.
This level is pretty easy to obtain the score challenge on. You should have no real problems going for it. If you need any help, send me a message and I can assist you the best I can. Good Luck and happy achievement hunting.
This solution was great very helpful,
I got 96,000 points by following this video and I died once. You need 50,000. That's a difference of 46,00, so you have some room for error. I did this on commando difficulty. Good luck!
Thank you savgcom for the awesome video!!!
The key is to maximise the bonuses as usual. After you start drain the slow mo 3 times, whilst in the 3 memories sections there are about 5 psychic links you can make, Plus the Alma doll, getting you up to nearly 15,000 already. Also keep using slow mo, so you get the challenges for 120 seconds of slow mo.
When you start the final battle, hide behind the first barrier you get to and before the final fight is triggered, you can get the two camping behind cover challenges (total of 200 seconds hiding in cover) - by now you are up to about 20,000.
For the boss fight slow mo and shoot his throat, netting you the challenges for damaging him, and when the shock troops arrive, dispatch them from cover. Not sure you can get any weapon or cover kill achievements here, but it doesn't matter (I had only 9/10 cover kills and so not enough) - killing the boss and doing the above should see you home though. Good luck!
For each Interval/Score trophy you will need to maximize your points gain. This is easier without a partner as your individual score is needed to earn this trophy. This Interval is by far the easiest to earn the required points on and there's not much to it. Be sure to grab the Alma Doll and the one Psychic Link in the level. When you enter the Gym, repeated melee the punching bag to earn the Yo, Adrian! trophy if you haven't already, now continue on until you reach the Creep. The Creep's weakpoint is the glowing spot in his mouth. Every time you damage the creep you earn points and even more points if you can damage him without him hurting you. Be sure to kill his Ghost Soldiers with cover, slow motion and headshots. If you neglect damaging the Creep, he'll continuously spawn Ghost Soldiers in for you to work on other challenges (though you'll miss out on the Creep Damage challenges).
